Jayden never told anyone about what happened that day and quit from the competition saying he fell down n bruised himself and also apologised to me for flirting.Wow. All because of a punch.

"Seriously, Dean; you should have done this much earlier." I nudged him as we walked to school together.

"Well, he never messed with my people until that day..."
"You sound like a tribe leader with the 'my people' part" i cut him off as he chuckles.

Some days later, all was back to normal
.
I left my pouch at school cuz my dumb ass forgot it and went on leave for about three days.(I went to visit my uncle back in my hometown). I knew that my pouch was at school but when I returned, and asked my friends about it, and they didn't seem to have seen it . I asked Dean if he had seen it, but he denied ever seeing it, even though he acted very sus.

And then as Viola looks away, Dean leans in and whispers, "Viola took it," before winking and turning his attention to Andrew. I call over to Viola, trying to keep it casual. "Hey, have you seen my pouch?"
She retorts, "Bish, instead of asking me why don't you just go check Dean's bag instead?"

I glance over at Dean, who's engrossed in conversation with Andrew, their voices low but intense. I catch a few words-something about last night's game-and roll my eyes. He never seems to run out of things to talk about. Not that I'm in any position to judge. I've got my own mess to deal with right now.

I recall her suggestion, her words still echoing in my mind: *"Check HIS bag."* It seemed ridiculous at first-Dean never brings books to class anyway, and I'd seen him toss this red and black bag around like it was a toy, not even pretending to care about what was inside.

His bag sits innocently on the table beside me. I reach out, my fingers brushing against the strap, feeling the weight of it. It's heavier than I'd expected-much heavier than any bag of his should be. Dean's a notorious under-packer; the guy never brings the books he needs for class, often borrowing mine and others' when he realizes he's forgotten them.

But today, something's different.

I glance over at him one last time. His back is turned, and Andrew's absorbed in whatever ridiculous story Dean's telling. It's now or never. With a deep breath, I unzip the bag, the sound of the zipper slicing through the air a little louder than I intend.i pull open the flap.

Inside, there's the usual chaos-papers stuffed into every available space, some of them crumpled and others neatly stacked. Tiffins with something hot, hut then my fingers brush against some cloth, something unexpected.

Could it be?

I reach deeper, there, nestled at the bottom, is something unmistakable-my pouch. It's exactly where it shouldn't be.

I pull it out, staring at it in disbelief. "What the...?" I mutter, calling out to Dean. "Why is this in your bag?"
Dean shifts uncomfortably, avoiding my gaze.  "Uh... what's that?" he asks, feigning surprise and innocence.
"My pouch, Dean," I say, holding it up for him to see. "The one I've been looking for. The one that was definitely not in your bag before."

"Oh, that?" Dean says, still not looking at me. "Must have... fallen in there somehow." He shrugs, a little too casually.

"Fallen in?" I raise an eyebrow. "Dean, it's at the very bottom, tucked under a stack of papers and your lunch boxes.  It didn't just 'fall in'."

Andrew, who's been watching it whispers into his ear "Yeah, Dean, that's a pretty lame excuse, even for you."
Dean glares at Andrew, then turns back to me with a sigh.  "Okay, fine," he says, running a hand through his hair. "Maybe I put it there."

"Maybe?" I repeat, crossing my arms. "Why would you put my pouch in your bag?"

"Look, it's a long story," Dean mumbles, glancing around nervously. "Viola was..."  He trails off, then starts again.  "She was trying to, uh... help me organize my bag, and she must have put it in there by mistake."
"Organize your bag?" I say, skeptical. "Viola?  Since when does she care about organizing your bag?"
"Since... since she's trying to be a better friend?" Dean offers, his voice rising slightly.
"Wtf guys?"
Viola, who has been trying to stifle her laughter, finally bursts out. "Oh, just tell him the truth, Dean!" she exclaims. "It was a prank, okay?  We were trying to mess with you!"

"A prank?" I say, looking from Viola to Dean. "Really? That's the best you could come up with?"
I look at them, then back at the pouch in my hand.  "But... putting my stuff in his bag? That's your idea of a prank?"

"Okay, it was a terrible prank," she admits,  "But you should have seen your face when you couldn't find it!"

The absurdity of the situation finally hits me, and I can't help but laugh.  "You guys are unbelievable!" I say, shaking my head.  "You really had me going."
"So, all is forgiven?" Dean asks, grinning.
"Yeah, yeah," I reply, still chuckling. "okay?" "okay."
We all laughed, the tension dissipating as quickly as it had appeared.
