I can't believe him. I CAN'T BELIEVE HIM. He took advantage of me! How could he? HOW COULD HE?! Oh, because he's Vice! he's literally the embodiment of a bad habit! I'm so angry I could kill him...
So why didn't I...?
I flinched at my thoughts. I could've. I had the chance too... But he wouldn't fight back. Even when I could feel his essence being snatched away by my very own power, he still didn't budge. I wanted him to though. I wanted a reaction. I wanted him to stop me. Shit I don't know, I just... I just couldn't do it. But I should have.... My eyes scanned the room, lingering on Fray and Leo, but stopping at Vice, unconscious, and laid upon a table. I was distanced from the group hovering over Vice, with my arms crossed in a defiant stance. I refuse to show concern.
Then why do you still care?
I squeezed my eyes shut, shook my head, and looked off into another direction. He had NO right. "Vice wake up!" I heard Fray's shrilly voice shout. "Oh relax drama queen. I didn't kill him." I said in a melancholy tone. Was I upset I didn't kill him? Or... "You idiot! You tried to! Don't you think it would've had lasting effects? You fire people are just so easy to fix, because all you gotta do is hop in a furnace!" Fray screamed in distress. I glared daggers at her, wondering where exactly she's got me fucked up. "I'd suggest you watch your tone when speaking to me, because I distinctly remember you making a run for it." I said with menace. Fray stepped back as I changed my stance, but still kept her disapproving glare on me. "This is exactly why I told Vice to stay away from you. It's one thing to not be with me, but he always involves himself with the worst type of trouble. We didn't have these types of problems until you showed up. We wouldn't have to fight his very own family if it weren't for you. Hell I NEVER thought I'd fight against S.V.O, much less take a bullet for some fire woman. But no, he choke slams me just to disclose your whereabouts, and YOU couldn't care less if his life were to cease. SERIOUSLY? Take a look ladies and gents, because THIS is the one he ditches me for!" She spat while turning towards Leo and holding her hands out in my general direction as if she were showcasing me.
Leo quietly watched us with no emotion apparent on his features. Fray huffed and puffed, but eventually went back to stressing over Vice's unconscious body, not paying me any mind. My eyes lingered to the overly quiet Leo. He's always so unbearably calm. I don't know how he does it. He barely knows us, yet puts up with our... Weird situation. My attention is diverted when the doors to the room slam open. In walks a rather tall Korean female with glasses in a white jacket. She makes eye contact with me first, and bursts into a full blown smile. I remember her... She's- "OH MY DEAR FIREN! How lovely it is to see you!" She enthusiastically yells. She runs over to me, and embraces me into a big hug, which I awkwardly return. "Did you rough up your man just to see me? Haha you shouldn't have. You could've just stopped by." She reassures in a jokingly manner. "Well I guess you had to even out the score. Everybody wants to be done up by the greatest Fiona. Really sucks being the best at what you do, if you know what I mean. Haha" she said giddily. "Um excuse me, miss airhead! Do you not see Vice unconscious?! There's more important things to tend to." Fray bit out in an impatient voice. Everyone got quiet as Fiona turned towards her.
Fiona held a straight face as she observed Fray, resulting in Fray's featured becoming more agitated. "Oh my. A female version of Vice. Are you his sister?" She said nonchalant with a small polite smile playing at her lips. Fray's teeth audibly gritted together. "Why would you assume that?" She asked angrily. "Well... Because I am aware of this fine mistress being his fancy, so I don't see your purpose here otherwise. Unless you're one of those... oh what do you call it... rejected assigned fiancés?" Fiona asked lightly with a wider smile. She gestured towards me during her speech. I slightly chuckled at her final comment. Fray looks like she's about to blow a fuse. "Calm down, Popsicle. You may need me to fix you up in the future, and I may or may not forget how. Good luck if that happens." She said cheerily. I let out a hearty laugh at that comment. She turned towards me, and gave a quick peck on my cheek. "There's that beautiful smile. Now excuse me, sugar, I gotta go fix up your hubby." Fiona said in a sweet voice. She briefly acknowledged Leo, and went straight to work on Vice, ripping his shirt open. An extremely tiny part of me was slightly bothered by the action. "Don't be getting jealous over there now, Firen. You know this is strictly business!" Fiona chimed as if she was reading my mind.
