"Before your... Incident, your father gave us an ultimatum we never really decided upon." I said slowly. Firen narrowed her eyes, listening intensively. I could tell she was a very obedient daughter, and I'm sure her daddy's opinion mattered a great deal to her. If she'd just call me daddy, we wouldn't have this problem... "He does not want us to be together, and if we go against his wishes and continue to be together..." I spoke slowly, making sure she absorbed everything I was saying. "He'll disown you, and you won't be welcomed back home." Her eyes widened in horror, and she slowly put distance in between us. "I don't understand... Why would he wait until we're engaged to say something like that?" She said as if that would've overall changed her answer to me.

"I can't... I don't think I can do this..." She said to herself. I swiftly grabbed her hands, causing her frantic eyes to focus on me. "Is your family doing the same thing?" She asked. I considered my reply, whether telling her my reason of being disowned was because I wanted to be with her. But I've already been fabricating enough already... "No..." I began, and her face softened slightly, as if there were hope. "My family disowned me about 4 years ago." I finished. Her hands found their way to her mouth as she gasped in disbelief. "I'm so sorry, Vice." She said solemnly. She hugged me gently, and I returned the hug. I didn't really care, but the hug was appreciated. I was glad to be out of that ruthless family. "So if you decide to stay with me, I can assure you it won't be so bad. I mean, look at me. Im doing just fine." I added with hope in my voice that she wouldn't turn me away.

She tensed in my arms, and slowly released me. "But..." Her voice faltered. "I'd be throwing away my life just to be with you..." She said. "The life that you weren't satisfied with." I corrected. "Baby, I can show you so much more than you'd imagine." I said, trying to reason with her. ".... Let's not make any final decisions now... I just want you to know of the decisions we'll eventually have to face." I reassured her. She nodded slowly, still having a pondering look on her face. "Why did you leave your family?" Firen asked out of the blue. I didn't speak for a moment. I wasn't too sure of how I wanted to answer that question. That family... Those monsters... They don't deserve the the slightest courtesy of my tongue gracing their names. My mother, my father, my siblings... The whole lot of them were a disgrace to me. Yet I was the one banished?

"Firen... My family... They weren't good people." I stated. "Elaborate." She urged. This girl... I didn't want to discuss this with her. "Firen... I've told you this already, but my last name is Dominirovatʹ Ubiĭtsy. You know what that family consists of. Hell, everyone knows what kind of people they are." I said with annoyance. I saw the startled look on her face, and reminded myself to be calm about this. "So... Why did you suddenly have a change of heart?" She asked with confusion laced in her voice. Seriously? Does she just expect my family to be born evil, twisted, and demented souls? "Firen... Not everybody can do what they do. Yes, power was easy to obtain, but you have to be trained... Broken, and rebuilt the way they want you to be. I'm not easily broken. With all the power I had, I wasn't about to become another one of their minions to control. They loathed that about me" I explained.

My mind wondered back to the day they "allowed" me out my room to appear in front of my father. Damn that man to hell. But that's when I heard the best news of my life when they said they didn't want anything to do with a disgrace such as I. They tested my loyalty, by throwing some most likely innocent fire person in front of me, expecting me to kill on site. Those people... I shook my head as I remembered the fear in that person's eyes. The torment they must have been through before being brought before me. But that didn't matter to them. The lives of non ice people did not matter, nor concern them. "My family... They have ties with S.V.O..." I said slowly, hoping not to trigger any unwanted memories. Firen's eyes bulged out their sockets, and I noticed her demeanor not only became distant, but guarded. This girl didn't trust me.

Yes, she'd let me fuck her, but my apparent "fiancé" did not trust me. "Firen I..." I reached my hand out to her, and she flinched, which made me pause my movements. She put me in their category... "I can't believe this... You think I'm one of them." I said with anger slowly building inside me. I could hear the anger in my voice, and I'm sure she heard it too. Her face became plagued with guilt, but I didn't care. She should feel terrible for such a thought. "Firen. I will never be them. Me even being here is proof of that." I said icily. I tried to keep my anger at bay, but I'm sure it seeped out. "I'm sorry... I don't mean to judge. All of this is just so confusing." Firen's soft voice came out. There was a prolonged silence that made the air feel thick around us. "We should talk about this later..." She began, and then she got up and went to the bathroom, I'm guessing to freshen up. I did enjoy the sultry walk she did on her way over. It brought my mood up somewhat.

I stood in the kitchen, making breakfast, watching the bacon sizzle. My mind was racing a mile a minute. Thinking about everything to the point I was thinking about nothing. It just felt like a buzz of thoughts, no one thought had to much attention. "Vice vice vice. Such bad habits you pick up..." I chanted to myself, remembering my mother saying the very words to me. I cringed at the thought, and became annoyed at the words I had repeated. I heard soft steps before an abrupt stop in the sound. I imagine she was standing in the doorway of the kitchen. After me continuing to season the grits, I heard Firen's voice come out softly. "I really am sorry..." She said with finality in her voice. I'm guessing so I won't bring the matter up again. I continued to cook, not really responding to her presence.

Her footsteps started up again, getting closer and more audible, and before I knew it, her hands slid around me in an embrace. "My oh my you're so hard..." What is this girl talking about? "Majority of my time around you Firen, I'm hard." She had gasped lightly, and chuckled. It was nice to hear her laugh. "You pervert, I was referring to your torso." She replied. What a waste, it's always nice to lead the conversation elsewhere. "I do enjoy this close contact with you though..." She said so lowly that if I weren't paying attention, I would've missed it. Her hands relaxed more, bringing her arm closer to the stove. I turned the heat down stepping away from the stove some, "Careful now, you don't want your skin to get burned and scarred." I said jokingly. She laughed behind me, and snaked her arms forward, holding the iron on the stove with a firm grip.

She leaned up, with her front brushing my back. "Sweet Vice, how funny. This mediocre heat does nothing to me." Firen whispered in my ear, all the while I watched the iron as I heard a sizzling sound while her skin glowed a bright orange. That made me realize how our vastly different lifestyles could effect each other. "You feel me, baby?" She whispered in my ear right before taking said ear into her mouth playing with my earring, distracting me from my thoughts. I was about to turn around to continue to something more exciting until I thought about her father and his unnecessary demands. I figured if we both explained to him in a civil way, perhaps he wouldn't be so determined this great pairing.

Nearing her house, workers at the estate recognized Firen, and quickly let us in. Upon walking through the warm colored place, a feeling of ease overwhelmed me. I don't know... Maybe it was the atmosphere itself was soothing somehow. That's when I saw it. My anger spiked uncontrollably seeing him in this place, and I felt my body grow colder at a rapid pace. Then her father had the nerve to be shaking hands with that demon. My hands balled into tight fist, while my body shook uncontrollably. I couldn't hold my tongue any longer. "VADIM YOU PIECE OF SHIT!"
