I hate this. I hate this so much. I know why we're doing this, but it's just too much. I never knew my choice in who I want to spend the rest of my life with would have so much impact to everyone else in my life. It was my idea. I knew I needed refining... It had been so long. Then Vice admitted to needing it too. Who else was to train us better than each other? I mean... We are each other's natural enemy.
**earlier that day**
"Firen! Firen wake up!" I heard Vice call my name. My eyes shot open in alarm, scared of what was around me. Could it be another family member of Vice's? He doesn't like it when I call his family that though... But what else am I supposed to refer to them as?
You don't really hear people say ex-family. Maybe ex-fiancé...
My eyes settled on Vice, who was laying next to me. When had I fallen asleep? It felt like we were up all night doing... oh so many things.
I rubbed my eyes vigorously of any gunk that may be lurking, and shifted uncomfortably. For someone I hardly know, I sure have grown pretty comfy to be sleeping with him so many times. It's just when he stares at me, it seems like I can only see him and nothing else.
Does he know what effect that does to me? Is that what he sees I wonder.
"Im sorry to startle you, baby. But you were trembling..." He said comfortingly, while rubbing small circles in my thigh. That's when I took notice of our positions, and it seemed I was slung around him like a straight jacket. I untangled myself from him, and his eyes furrowed together.
"Was it another one of.. those dreams?" He asked hesitantly. I slowly nodded, yawning to myself, trying to wake up my mind.
Ever since Vice's visit from the family happened, my dreams have started to become more and more believable.
They were more like memories rather than just bad nightmares. I mean, considering the type people we're in trouble with, it wouldn't seem too far fetched, right?
Vice pulled me closer to him yet again, while my mind was far off somewhere else thinking about, well... Everything.
"Don't stress yourself out about details. It'll all fall into place eventually. No sense in putting worry lines on that pretty head of yours." Vice soothed while massaging my temples, and further rubbing his hands along my forehead. This man sure could massage somebody.
My Goddess, the things he can do with these hands. My eyes fluttered close, me just enjoying this peaceful moment.
Then that's when it hit me. A memory!
This has happened before. Oh Goddess, I remember these hands... Those words... I remember something about Vice. It was late... and I was walking... I remember his smile.
What a wicked smile that man has. I remember him in the club that me and Limana go to. But he was always rubbing those pesky worry lines on my head.
Vice's lips distracted me from my reminiscing, and I was once again held in a prism of him. I quickly pushed him off wanting to be serious of what was happening.
His eyebrows furrowed in annoyance, which was kind of cute. "We really have to think about what we're going to do with this whole situation, Vice." I said.
He heavily sighed, whilst throwing off the sheet to readjust himself. He swung his legs over the bed and began to stretch. I took this opportunity to stare at him, as if I don't stare at him enough. He's just so fascinating... Just so... Vice.
"Yeah I know... I'm just... Procrastinating." He looked over his shoulder at me after saying these words, as if wanting to say something more.
I crawled over to him on all fours, and raised my hand to his cheek.
"What's on your mind?" I asked him softly. Would it be weird if I was afraid of the answer? He placed his hand on top of mine, interlocking our fingers, and bringing it over to his mouth, kissing the back of my hand.
