I can't breathe... Why can't I breathe? I attempted to move my hands to my throat, but my wrists were restrained by rusty chains. I opened my eyes, only to notice I was in a dungeon again. What is this place. I frantically looked around for help, but only noticed ice people standing around me. "Wha-what's going on here?! Let me go!" I bellowed. One of them approached me with an evil smile plastered across their face. Only then did I notice the object in their hands. The blade was long and sharp, with a handle made of ice. As he got closer, I scooted back in vain, for I could move no where. "Such a filthy creature dare lay with the likes of our breed?!" He yelled before raising the weapon, and slamming it down on my thigh. I let out a scream that hurt even my own ears, and the others seemed to enjoy the pain I felt. The joy in their eyes were sickening.
No sooner did I feel another piercing slash go across my arm, and soon the ice man found a pattern he was trying slash into my body. I cried shamelessly. I prayed to my Goddess. Why would any creature do this to another? Why hurt any of thy Goddess' creations? I didn't understand, what did I do? The man slowed on his artwork, only to throw the torturous contraption to the side. Another came close, and pulled me up by the hair, showcasing my pain to the audience of the room. "We can't allow her to die just yet. She must suffer for her ungodliness. Her abomination." Some ice female said in the far distance. Why was this happening to me? I didn't deserve such a treatment. "Fine. Donatello will do his share I promised, then we will preserve her body for our next punishment. Tell Sletvana to tend to her wounds when we are done." The man speaking turned his icy gaze onto me, "but just enough so she won't die by tomorrow." He finished.
"Ivan!" He screamed. Then a husky ice man that seemed to be on steroids came forth with a crazed look in his eye. He look crazed in his eyes, and I knew he was going to let out on me. The man previously speaking bent down next to me. "You see, little tramp, we're gonna show you why you should've remembered your place in this world. Remember, there is place in this world that is higher than you." He spat in my face, then stood up tall. He walked over to the steroid-induced man, and patted his shoulder before walking off. The beast of a man closed in on me, as I watched the other guy leave behind him. My gaze was interrupted as I was snatched up by my hair once again, feeling some of it rip in the process, and the mans fist collided with my jaw before I processed what he was about to do. He took me by the ankle and pulled me further away from the wall I was chained to. The chains lengthened a few feet away from the wall. Then I felt my leg drop, but shortly after, my whole body was picked up, and thrown against the wall I had just parted from.
My screams were endless, and I knew my voice would get tired, but that didn't change me still helplessly crying for help. What hope was there in a place such as this? I wondered how long it would be before they'd just let me die. Who could ever deserve such treatment? Better yet, who... my thought process fell away as the third smash to the wall caused something to crack, but I wasn't sure what. Behold I slid down the wall again out of exhaustion, a blast of ice hit me with jagged force, my weakened body did little to hide the pain it was in.
Goddess of fire, if you can hear my cries, please take me from this wretched place. This hell they call home. More tears fell, as if that could even happen. I heard a distant laugh, "What blasphemy! Blue tears! Such monsters they are!" The girl's shrilly voice teased. Everyone joined in on the laugh, but as they did, the husky ice man came running towards me, then jumping to body slam me on this concrete floor. Was this some type of pro wrestling he was practicing? When his body collided with mine, it caused yet another bone to crack, the floor seemed to dip as if consuming me, and then swallowing me whole into darkness. I laid in the darkness, merely relishing the peace I finally obtained from leaving that retched place.
A blurry face popped up above me, and there was familiarity with him. His hands reached up and caressed my face, and they were so cold, it instantly made me think of the ice people before in the last scene I just left. I trembled ferociously, and tears began to fall. "Please don't hurt me." I said barely above a whisper. The man above me froze, and a tear dropped onto my face, yet I saw no tears form past the blurry mask. "I would never hurt you, Firen." He said before grabbing my hands, and interlocking our fingers. He placed a gentle kiss on my knuckles, then he pushed me further into the darkness that surrounded us.
As he disappeared, I began to feel a pull. And before i knew it, I was being pulled up in the comfort of my own bed by my apparent fiancé. He held me in an embrace, and it took me a moment to take in my surroundings. "Good morning, my beautiful, future wife. He said in a chipper voice. Vice then pulled back to give me a peck on the lips. I couldn't believe this reality anymore than the last. I mean, seriously? Me... engaged to an iceman? I observed his angular face, and toned body, then my eyes traveled dangerously low, taking in his pale skin over muscled flesh. Nipple rings, though? Then my mind remembered what happened the day before hand, and I instantly became flustered to even be seen.
He noticed my shifty nature, and smiled gently. "Shyness is cute on you." He simply said.
That's when I noticed that his oh so smooth face seemed to be strained with worry, and his eyes almost seemed as if they had bags under them. "Do you remember anything?" He asked curiously. I slowly nodded yes, and his attention seemed to heighten. I wasn't sure if I could trust this man with everything, such as the blurry figure I kept seeing, but maybe he'd know something about that horrid place. "I keep seeing this... Dungeon I guess you can call it." He stiffened at my sentence. "People... They do... Awful, wretched, terrible things to me there... And... they're all like you." I said the last part slowly, gouging his reaction. He stared at me for a moment, and I knew he was thinking of what to say next."I told you I'd protect you from the S.V.O. I won't let them get to you. Don't worry about such things, you're probably just having nightmares. Tell me what crazy thing they did to you this time." He said lightly. But when I went into detail about every scene I saw... Felt emotionally... His face turned dark, and I could see remorse in his eyes. As if he were internally punishing himself for something that didn't happen yet. Then it struck me. "Why can't we hear each other's thoughts?" I asked genuinely puzzled. I mean I could hear Limana's, and even Donny's. But why not him? He looked at me as if I were crazy, then asked "Fire people are able to do telepathy?" He was genuinely intrigued. "Are ice people not?" I asked, and he shook his head no.
"We aren't ones of such... Intimate actions. We prefer solitude in our thoughts... Well they do. What I'd love to know is what's been going though that mind of yours." Vice stated. I chuckled at his sappy statement, and kissed his cheek. Vice gave a goofy grin, that seemed so adorable in my eyes. My arms found their way around his neck, as his arms circled around my back, pulling me closer to him, having the sheets gather between us. We both sat silent, relishing in each other's company. I listened to the slow heart beat of Vice, while he rubbed my arms up and down. I didn't want to move from this... This thing that seemed to be the only thing that made sense. Then Vice finally broke the comfortable silence that we were both enjoying. "We need to talk about your father." He said in a serious tone. Goddess of fire. What a mood killer.
