"What was that about?"Michael asked as soon as we exited the lecture hall, Mr Morris well out of earshot by now. "You guys in trouble or something?"

"Nope," Blue said quickly. We all waited, expecting her to elaborate, but she just never did. A super awkward silence followed and I had no idea what to say. It wasn't like we were hiding anything. Mr Morris was a little insane for expecting two stupid sophomores to figure something as serious as this out as if it were a ten piece puzzle.

"He was just telling us about how his niece needed a baby-sitter," I tried to keep my inward cringe from showing on my face at my disgusting lying ability.

"Oh, I saw a picture of his niece on Instagram. She's such a cutie," Charlie gushed and I almost fainted from relief. I had no idea he actually had a niece. I was so grateful to Charlie that I didn't even think to mention her stalking.

"So..." Ashton began. "Are we going to dinner or not? I don't know how, but biochem made me really hungry."

"At least it didn't make you thirsty," Michael joked. "Mr Morris has that effect sometimes."

"On...You?" Charlie laughed, asking what we'd all been thinking.

"Don't be weird, Charlie," Michael laughed again, rolling his eyes.

We reached the parking lot and decided on a dinner venue. We decided that Blue and I would take her car to pick up Calum and the other three could take Ashton's.

"We'll meet you there?" Blue said, as we walked to her car and Michael, Ashton and Charlie all got into Ashton's.

As soon as we got in her car, Blue started the engine and said, "We're not doing it, right?"

"We're not going to dinner with our friends?" I asked, confused at Blue's words.

"No, you loser," she said, rolling her eyes. "We're not doing the whole creepy Vanessa murder investigation thingy, right?"

"You know, for someone studying Forensic Science, you can be really unlike a forensic scientist sometimes, Blue," I laughed. "But no, I don't want to do it either. The whole thing seems scary and like a whole lot of effort. I actually want to pass all my classes this semester."

"In complete agreement with you, my friend," Blue replied as we pulled up to the building Calum had his last class of the day in. Mondays were really tiring because we all had so many classes and the last one was super late.

"Hey my beauties," Calum greeted with a grin as he got into the backseat of the car with loads of textbooks and random pages and still wearing his reading glasses. My heart skipped a beat at his geek look and I grinned back at him.

"Hey Calpal," Blue said as Calum leaned forward to grab the aux cable and plugged his phone in. "Wait, no! What are you doing? We're not gonna listen to your music! It's literally like a ten minute drive dude."

"Either this or I make out with your friend for ten minutes," Calum shrugged, which caused a shocked giggle from my side. "And you'll have no company."

Blue sighed, "Fine, but if I tell you to skip a song, you skip it, okay?"

Calum smirked at his little victory. "Fine with me."

"So get this," Michael began before taking a long sip of his coke as we waited for our food at Princello's. "I met this girl during the holidays, absolutely gorgeous, never seen anyone as beautiful as that in my life. We hung out a couple times and I thought I'd never see her again. But guess what!"
