I scrolled through the music on my phone, looking for an ideal hang-out song, before giving up and just putting it on shuffle.

Blue and I were sitting by the pool of the sorority, soaking up some sunlight before winter properly began. The water glistened a beautiful cobalt and it was very tempting to take a swim, but it was a little too chilly for that.

The leaves were beginning to turn different shades of brown, but most of the trees planted at the back of Alpha Rho still stubbornly held onto their greenery.

"So Mitch was at a frat party?" Blue asked, prompting for more information as she leaned back against the garden chair.

"Yeah, it was so weird. He's not even at this school anymore, is he?"

Blue looked thoughtful before replying, "No, he's working already."

I sat up a little straighter so that I could get into the deeper part of what happened the previous night.

"Anyway, so he punches Jax -"

"What? Why were they together?"

I gave her a sheepish look before shrugging. "I thought it would only be right that Jax tells Mitch himself that he wasn't with Vanessa that night."

"And it didn't go as planned?" A look of amusement washed over Blue's features, and I shook my head at how funny she found even the most serious of situations.

"They ended up falling into the pool..."

Blue laughed before saying, "Can't believe they were fighting over a dead girl."

"Blue!" I slapped her arm, shocked at her words. "You can't just say stuff like that."

She just laughed at that. I closed my eyes, feeling the effects of the night before. A lot had happened.

"So back to my story," I said, opening one eye to make sure Blue was listening. "We're walking out of the bathroom -"

"We?" Blue asked in confusion.

"Calum, Jax and I," I rolled my eyes. "Keep up, Blue!"

"Well, you didn't mention a trip to the bathroom! You're a horrible story teller," she complained, throwing a leaf that had landed near her chair toward me. It didn't get far before drifting to the grass.

"Yeah, so Jax walks off and suddenly this girl comes from nowhere, crying her eyes out in panic, and she starts holding onto Calum like she's never gonna let go."

"I hope you sorted that bitch out," Blue raised an eyebrow in amusement before laughing, causing me to chuckle as well. "What did Cal do? He must have been so shocked."

"He looked like the girl was going to explode in his arms or something," I giggled, remembering Calum's horrified expression. "Anyway, so this girl tells us that she thinks her friend is dead."

"That escalated," Blue's expression went blank at the new information.

"So obviously we go to check it out, because deaths at parties aren't meant to be taken lightly," I carried on with the story. "And we get to the room they were hanging out in, and her blonde friend is lying on the floor, her back to us.
