"Where's my hat?" I yell flipping the room I was crashing in inside out.

My feet patter along to the library where Sam and Dean sat, eating take out.

"My hat? Where is it?" I ask them.

"You mean that old dirty red one?" Dean chuckles taking a bite of his burger.

"Yes! Where is it! I swear to god if you through it away-"

"No, chill, it's probably in the impala or something." Sam says.

I sigh in relief.

"What's so important about the hat?"

"Nothing, I just like it. I've always had it." I shrug sitting down and pulling out my food.

"Right," Sam says looking up to me then Dean. He looked like he was wanting to say something.

"What?" I ask taking a bite of my food.

"Where's your mom, Bradlii?" Sam asks softly.

I swallow my food harshly, not looking up at them.

"She left when I was little."

"Oh, sorry-"

"So did we find a case yet or what?" I ask chipper, cutting Sam off. He frowns but doesn't push it any further. Dean smirks but then scrunches his eyebrows together.

"Wait case? We?"

"Yeah isn't that what you call them? Think I heard you say that?"

"Yeah we do but- there's no we, Grey."

"Why not? I thought I was doing pretty good last time."

"Ha! Yeah before we saved your ass from being torn to shreds."

I roll my eyes.

"Yeah but now we can work together! Come on, I already found a case-"

"What? When?" Dean interrupts giving me a look of disapproval.

"Last night. I couldn't sleep...so I took the laptop....you should really delete your internet history by the way." I say looking down.

I see Sam glare at Dean as he looks to the floor, cheeks red.

"Next time, don't take the laptop without asking." Dean mumbles avoiding eye contact.

I snicker lightly.

"What's the case Bradlii?" Sam asks rolling his eyes at both of us.

"Right," I take the laptop sitting in front of him and bring up a page I bookmarked. "Men have been turning up dead in Atchafalaya Basin, Louisiana. Drowned with bite marks in the swampland."

"Okay? Crocodiles then, seems pretty normal." Dean says still looking at the screen.

"Yeah well keep reading. It gets better."

"An 'Unknown scale-like essences was left on their bodies.' " Sam quotes from the article. "Does seem kind of odd."

We both look to Dean.

"Yeah we'll go check it out,"

I smile proudly.

"But not with you kiddo." He finishes wiping the smile off my face.

"What! Why not? I found the case, I should be able to go on it!"

"It could be dangerous, plus I don't feel like babysitting your ass."
