"Bradlii," Alyssa wheezes, looking up at me. "I-I can't breathe."We were being cornered by the fire. No way in, no way out.
"It burns." She barely gets out.
She was right. Every time we breathed in it hurt like hell. The fire was getting too close to us. I didn't know what to do.
"I know, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." I apologize to her, taking off my jacket and handing it to her. "Cover your mouth with this. It will help keep the smoke from your lungs."
She does as I say with a shaky hand. I can see how scared she is- how scared she has been. I was scared to. I was angry because I didn't want her to die here- not this way. Not because of me. I did this. It couldn't end like this. But the fire roared higher and closer to us. I could feel the burns forming all over me but they get to her faster. I quickly grab her and pull her into me, so I was hovered over her as a shield. If this is how we were gonna die, I was going first. At this point I was just waiting for it. The pain was getting to be too much. I was trying to hold back my screaming, for Alyssa's sake, but it was getting harder and harder to as the fire nipped at me.
"Please, I don't care if I die. Just don't let her die. Please." I pray in my head. I didn't know how much good it would do but I had to try.
I feel the building rumble suddenly and it doesn't take me long to figure out what's happening. The building was about to collapse. I feel Alyssa grab onto me, scared out of her freaking mind. We loose our balance and fall to the ground as we feel the bottom floor collapses beneath us. It had to be any second now that the whole building would fall on us. I would feel it more then see it though. I couldn't see anything. Smoke and fire blinded my sight. That was all I could see. That is until I see something out of the corner of my eye. I still can't really make anything out but something was definitely out there.
"What the hell?" I think, as the figure makes itself known.
A trench coated dude steps out into my view.
"Bradlii." He says, looking at me, then Alyssa.
"Save her!" I yell out, not being able to hold it back anymore.
He quickly grabs the both of us and in an instant, we were out of the building.
"Y-You c-c-came-" I barely get out as choke on my own coughing fit.
I see him nod and kneel down next to me.
"I heard your prayer-" He's cut off by the sound of Alyssa violently coughing.
"G-Go- h-heal- he-her-" I wheeze.
He nods and says "Stay here." Then goes over to her.
I could hardly see anything with my eyes open but they were mostly closed do to the burning. Everything burned now that I had time to think about it. Shit, my adrenaline was wearing thin. I could hear fire truck sirens getting closer and closer. The building was still roaring with flames, as we were a good hundred feet from it. I did that. Whatever is inside of me did that. It was strong and powerful, and....I liked it. I tried to push that feeling out of my head but it was true. That feeling I got right before it took over me was addicting. And I didn't want it to be. It scared me.
"Cas!" I hear Dean's voice yell suddenly. "Dammit Cas, where are you!"
His voice echoed from the other side of the building, in anger and desperation. He didn't know I was out. That I was okay. My actions started working before my brain could. I somehow managed to pick myself up and stumble toward the front of the building until I saw him.
