The hot water from the shower steamed the entire bathroom. There was no way in hell I was leaving to go anywhere without a shower. I was enslaved to my bed for two days so a shower wasn't a priority at the time. It sure was now though. I didn't want to leave the nice hot water, but then my stomach growled. And it growled loud. Last time I was this hungry I had to eat out of a dumpster. Yeah I know that's gross but sometimes you gotta do watch'a gotta do.
I wobble out of the bathroom after getting dressed. I was so desperate to eat I practically scrambled out.
Holy crap.
Scrambled.
scrambled eggs.
Oh jeez....I really did need food- and stat.
~
"Slow down kid, you're going to get a stomach ache." Sam chuckled, noting how much food I was cramming down.
"I can't, it's too-my god this is amazing. When did shitty diner food become so good?" I say with a mouth full food.
"Hey now, don't disrespect." Dean says all too seriously. "Food is food."
I chuckle.
"Ain't that the truth. Ya know one time I had to eat out of a dumpster. It's not as bad as one might think- I mean still pretty awful but ya know."
They didn't really find it that funny.
"What?" I ask swallowing my food.
"Nothing- it's just you seem...different." Sam says first.
"Well, I feel different. I feel good."
"That's what's concerning them." Castiel says.
They both glare at him as he remains clueless, like usual. I chuckle at them though.
"Guys, really, I feel fine. I don't know- it's weird, I get it. But I feel like I have this weight lifted off me. I feel stronger and not that pathetic girl you guys met. I'm not even mad at Cas for pushing as far as he did. I should be but I'm not."
The brothers exchange a look between each other but then slowly nod.
"Okay, if you say you're good then we believe you." Sam grins.
"But if anything changes-"
"You'll be the first to know." I smile cutting off Dean.
I take another bite of my food and look at the both of them.
"You ready to go shopping bitches?"
~
We walk into the resale shop and I couldn't help but go wide eyed. This place was big. People roamed up and down the isles, kids whined to their parents, and the cashiers looked like they hated their life. Looked like a perfect place to do some interesting people watching.
"Alright kiddo, go crazy, well crazy on a budget. It's on us."
I look up at him.
"Dean I-"
"Think of it as a birthday gift." He grins for a moment.
"Thanks freckles. Thanks Rapunzel." I smile warmly.
"Rapunzel?" Sam chuckles questionably.
I shrug walking towards an isle.
I hear him mumble something about his hair not being that long. I giggle to myself quietly as I looked through the clothes.
