Chapter 32: Raid

'Hm?'

'Mualani..?'

'Kinich..?'

(Y/N) currently found herself standing in the middle of a battlefield. The buildings around her were broken down, the bodies of people who couldn't escape in time can be seen under the rubbles. But her eyes quickly landed on the 2 Natlanese in front of her.

"Hey wait- Wake up! Two of you! Can you hear me? Mualani, Kinich- you guys..!" (Y/N) tried waking them up. Both of them had injuries all over their bodies, and what used to be Mualani's shark laid beside her, covered in blood and torn apart.

"What happened here!?"

Past those two bodies, laid other people wearing the same uniform as them "Saurian students..? Hey are any of you alive!? Please somebody- answer me!" To say that (Y/N) was concerned is an understatement. After all she didn't know what happened to all those people. The only thing that would speak to her were the voices that appeared in her head lately.

"Twilight Sword, Twilight Sword, Twilight Sword."

Suddenly in her hands, the same sword that appeared a few days ago laid in her hands, as if waiting for (Y/N)'s answer.

"Fine- whatever- I accept this sword!"

"Earth to (Y/N)!" 

SMACK!

"Hey what the-"

(Y/N) snapped back to reality the moment Ajaw came out of nowhere and hit her hard on the head. Kinich of course, placed the 2D dragon on 'timeout' right after that. The one who called out earlier was Mona, and she was ready to throw some water towards (Y/N)'s face to get her attention but Ajaw beat her to it already. Actually, a few days before, she had a terrible dream and ever since that day, (Y/N) started using her sword.

"Sorry, lost in thought. What's up?"

Mona grumbled, "What's up? Is that all you can say right now in this situation!? (Y/N) may I remind you that we are currently in a very serious mission! The Advance Guard team in front of us are ready to raid the Paranormal Liberation Front and take them all at once!?" The astrologist exclaimed.

"Right! Right... Sorry I didn't get enough sleep last night.."

"Really? Then may I have the honor of waking you up completely!?" A shiny water droplet appeared on Mona's hand. 

"Ah- No need!"

A few days after the meeting (Y/N) and her intern friends did with the Seven, they, alongside class A, B, and C were immediately assigned to teams for this raid mission. Just like what the meeting said, (Y/N) was assigned into Edgeshot's Rear Guard team alongside with Kinich and a couple of other students from UA.

What's concerning to (Y/N) was that the 3rd years are also involved in this mission. But then again the Paranormal Liberation Front is a villain group with thousands of members so it made sense.

"Jirou, do you hear anything?" Childe, who (Y/N) never worked with before turned to the purple haired girl. The other 3rd years beside him in that group were Signora and Eula.

Jirou shook her head "Nothing big yet, but I've heard that the Advance team has broken off any side exits that could be used for the villains to escape." The girl whose been sticking her earphone-like ears to the ground stated.

Childe nods, then, Eula spoke "Alright just to make it clear for all of you for the last time, our job is to take down and stop any villains that managed to escape past the Advance guard. Endeavors Rear guard that's currently at Jaku city are responsible for evacuating the citizens when things get out of hands. If there are any sudden attacks that weren't planned, Midnight will inform us right away through Yaoyorozu."
