After the student's failed attempt of putting Gigantomachia to sleep, they found themselves walking towards the exit of the forest, lead by the professional heroes who were fortunately still available to watch over them, Ei and Yelan. Nobody had spoken a word lately, disappointed that their plan and fights were in vain.

(Y/N) held her non dominant arm that was injured during the battle in pain as she walked beside Mona, the astrologist still had that look of horror on her face ever since she explained that the stars which connected the constellation of the war between Teyvat and Earth had lost contact with each other. (Y/N) didn't need to be an astrologist who could look into the future to know that something terrible was brewing on the other side of the team.

Mina, who was walking in front of the girl, suddenly stopped her tracks, resulting to (Y/N) almost running into her "Mina? Is there anything..." (Y/N)'s words trailed off the moment she sees the view ahead of Mina. It was a body, the grass where it laid on was tainted with their blood, and a red crushed mask stood beside it. It didn't take long for Mina to run up towards the body, passing by Yelan and Ei, ignoring their calls.

"MS. MIDNIGHT!!"

Once the realization hit, the other students ran up to the body, some even dropping onto the ground, feeling weak after seeing their teacher, who they've been talking to through the radio, lying on the grass, lifeless. "This can't be real. You were just talking to her on the radio right? You heard her voice...right?" Hu tao turned her head to Yaoyorozu who was covering her mouth, trying to control her tears.

"Ms. Midnight...! Ms. Midnight...! Open your eyes, Ms. Midnight!" Mina cried, holding the teacher's hand, hoping for a response, "This isn't funny, Ms. Midnight...! Come on, please..." Kirishima, who sat beside the body joined in.  Yelan and Ei was lost at words, they didn't have anything comforting words to say to the students while they sat beside the body too.

Xiangling finally fell on her knees, hugging Guoba and crying her eyes out followed by a couple of more students from both class A and C. A spark of electro was heard behind (Y/N), she slowly turned her head to see Fischl, whom she assumed just came out of her bird form. The blonde girl stared blankly at the ground, her face and hair messy from the fight earlier. "Ms. Yelan, Ms. Ei.... Majestic is..." the blonde couldn't even finish her words after witnessing the fate of the hero who helped them escape just a few moments ago.

'I can't believe this is happening...' (Y/N) looked around her. Students were crying, Yoimiya who fought so hard with Thoma and Amber with a smile on her face earlier leaned on a tree with a blank look, Childe was cursing under his breath, and Aether for once looked concerned for his twin Lumine who was dispatched in the city. Kinich on the other hand...

"Wait- Kinich!"

Thoma caught the Saurian student's body before he fell on the floor. His legs couldn't even hold him up, and his breathing was becoming shaky. "Kinich! What's wrong!?" Thoma called out, catching the attention of Ei who quickly walked up to the students. The purple haired hero held the boy, she felt something wet on his head. She raised to see her hands before shock appeared on her face.

"Kinich, why didn't you say anything about this!?" Thoma exclaimed as the other boy stared at him, his vision becoming hazy "I-I'm sorry... I guess I didn't feel anything earlier due to the adrenaline..." The headband tied around his head was slowly tainted by blood. Nobody had noticed that the boy fell onto the ground harshly during the fight with the monster earlier, not even Kinich himself. To think that this boy was shouting angrily at Signora a moment ago.
