CHAPTER 23

"Alone Together"

"Ice, me and your father will join your sister on a business trip. She may be older than you but you are more mature than her so I think you will be okay on your own for the next 2 weeks. Also, your brother needs to keep in contact with his boss for the same 2 weeks so he will live in a Condo for now. Love, mom <3" is the note I received this Sunday morning. Really?! I can do whatever I want now! I turn over the letter and I saw more words

"P.S. Have fun with Rex~!"

Really mom? I just sighed at her words but it did made me think of an idea! Later, I called Rex over the phone.

"Sup, puppy?"

"Hey, my parents and siblings are out for the next 2 weeks so I was wondering if you could come over."

"..."

"Hello? Rex?" He hung up on me. Rude! I wonder what made him hurry up?

I am eating lunch and I hear the doorbell. It kept ringing so I went as fast as I can

"What! Oh!" It was Rex... already packed...

"Excited much?" I teased

"Hey! I wanted to see ya!" He gave me a hug and kiss. I helped him with his baggage and went to my room

"Nice room ya got!" He then sat on the bed "Do ya really need a bed this big?"

"I think it will come handy some time"

"Hehe! Anyhow, what's for lunch?"

"You haven't ate yet? Man... am I your babysitter now?" I winked at him "I'll cook something for lunch"

"Yay! Ice's cooking!"

I then proceeded to the kitchen for a meal. I don't know what to cook cause I only ordered takeout. We had some meat in the fridge, vinegar and soy sauce. I watched my mom cooked this and it is kinda my favorite. Adobo! (A Philippine meal) I tried my best and after a while, it is done. It is easier than I thought!

"Rex! Lunch is ready!"

"Coming dear!" He then showed up in his home clothing. "Are we married now?"

"You've only stayed here for like 3 hours and you are already thinking that?" I giggled

"So what's for lunch?"

"A specialty made by yours truly. It's called Adobo!"

"Never had that before. Lets eat!"

We then ate and he said it was delicious. Glad that he liked it. I never knew I could do it! I did the dishes and I went to the living room and saw him on the couch, watching some Spongebob.

"You are 17 and you are still watching that?"

"I just can't stop ya know."

"I am a bit sleepy so I'll be in my room." I waved at him and I crashed on the bed.

Later, I woke up with the smell of food... I quickly changed and went downstairs and saw Rex already finished preparing dinner

"Morning puppy. Even if it is 7 PM. I ordered from McDonalds. Let's eat!" He grabbed me and gave me a hug before we ate

After dinner I went and finished cleaning, the dishes and myself and went to my room.

"Hey puppy!"

"Hey. I feel more tired today." I crashed next to him

"Maybe because you are my wife?"

"Shut up!" I punched his shoulder

"Hey Ice..."

"Hm?"

"I will be yours forever right?" He asked. It seemed like a stupid question but when I looked into his eyes, they tell me he is being serious

"Of course! I love you Rex... I really do!" I gave him a kiss. It was longer than the kisses we were used to. We cuddled the entire night until we slept in each others arms

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

I woke up with a messy hair and some sweat on my face. It is 5:30 AM. I need to prepare breakfast. I looked to my side and Rex is still snoring. No wonder he is late... I just chuckle. I stood up and prepared without waking him up.

I prepared some eggs and bacon. I also prepared the table. I called him and he came down... still in his boxers

"Morning sunshine" I said

"*Yawn* Morning Ice~!"

"Breakfast is ready. Let's eat."

After breakfast we went to school. He didn't like it cause we left at 7 AM. He says he leaves at 7:20. NO WONDER HE IS LATE

"Morning, guys"

We were greeted by the everyday faces. One difference is present though. Kou is with Riko. Kyle is having fun with Adam. We walked to Maya, Ivy and Tulio.

Rex was so loud as he explained he and I are living together for a while. He went flying cause he is annoying Maya. I would be too if one man is that loud Monday morning.

"Basically, you are now married?" Tulio grinned

"Maybe." I said

"Hey, Ice! The senior prom is gonna be this Friday! You coming?" Maya asked

"Yep! Although I need to find a date..." I responded

"You already have one and he is twitching on the floor" Ivy pointed at Rex who is basically in pain...

"I am afraid we will get teased..." I said

"Don't worry. The theme of the prom is Free Love" Ivy said

"Those four are also safe" Tulio pointed at the other two couples

"Great! I can't Wait!!"

A prom huh? It will be fun!
