High school crush

Amelia was laying in the bed, watching TV and Owen was downstairs.
Owen couldn't stand anymore with that horrible silence in the home. He went upstairs and took his coat "where are you going?" Amelia asked as she watched him taking his coat out of the closet "outside" he answered shortly and got out of form the room downstairs and Amelia went after him. Owen took his keys "so we are just gonna ignore the fight we had?" Amelia asked
"Yes" Owen said and slammed the door.

Owen entered into the ER and sat next to the table, no trauma, slow night maybe it's better that way Owen thought to himself. "Doctor Hunt" Richard came forward to Owen "what are you doing here? It's Torres shift in the ER" he asked
"Well, I told her I'll cover her" Owen answered, Richard sat next to Owen. "Something happened at home?" Richard asked in cuirass. Owen sighed "yes, something like it" Richard looked at him with asking eyes "I don't really want to talk about it " Owen continued "okay" Richard answered shortly.
They both sat in silence until Owen asked "Can I ask from where did you got the inspiration for that speech at Zola's party?"

Richard looked a him and smile "well you have to understand something; I loved Ellis and I loved even more Adele" "I'm feeling a big but coming" Owen said "you're right. Katherine makes me feel... Do you remember back in high school, when you had a 'crush' or a thing for a girl, every time you spoke your heart was skipping a beat and whenever you're done talking you were replaying your conversation in your head and all you wanted to do is just to be close to her" Richard said, Owen nodded "I do, I remember"
"Well then Katherine make me feel like that but even more. She makes me feel young again and at my age is the best thing you could wish for. We have the best relationship I could wish for and not just romantic she is my friend. That was my inspiration that you shouldn't waste your time on silly stupid things, just make your way to the big happy ending in the end of the race because if feels so damn good when you're there" Richard said and smiled. He got up and stroke on Owen's shoulder
