Many of the army's forces are so spread thin that the wild men and those of the highlands are searching for food. The fortress known as Highsnow Fortress was where the king of the wildlers was said to be. After taking out several guards, the Albino Lizardmen were the hardest to fool.
They at first smelt them, but didn't see anything except for one of the lizards, who was lucky enough to be born with the Infrared Stormsight ability, only specific lizards are granted if they are born in the Radioactive Pits of Dalphcore, a land deep beneath Alanari.
It was a shadow that was unicast before they tried to look by squinting, but seen a slight blue haze in the shape of a human.
Just before he was about to sound the alarm, he fell, as the other guard looked back to see what happened. He only saw his blue blood scrape the snow as he too fell to the ground.
They covered them up with snow in hopes of a reduced the time being discovered. Fel, Dolfrig, Dug and Goug Darkmain where almost there but the Fortress had several entrances heavily guarded with the Wild kin.
They had only 1 opton and that was to gather at the under croft where there's few guards. "Graphbeak! Hissed Dug then said softly,"The only way I can see in is through the back, its said tonbe guarded by the kings beast, that's why there's no guards who needs guards when you have a 17meter tall 2 headed beast."
Goug asked "how do you know this?"
The others looked at him with out knowing what was on their faces, as they are all invisible. "He could tell they where all staring at him.
Instead of asking n questions. He just replied, I know coz I was the first person to survive feeding the thing, it knows me before I deserted, the king was just to much i had to get out of there and over time I feed the beast, I grew to known it to know how it felt and thought, just follow my lead these invisibility gauntlets will onlynget us so far.",
The pair of them found a path that lead down to the back, when the guards changed rotations Dug times it correctly and waved them in with a subtle light.
Under the cloack its hard to see anyone elce but the cloacking field/ metaphysical Light manipulation was cold, and hid them completely the wind was especially cold this time of night but many find it refreshing the only Wildlers that cant stand it are the desert Zardim kith. Who live inside the fortress rather then being on patrol.
They sneak past the cave entrance as Dug guided them past the traps and puzzles. There was no speaking, not now when they are so close to the king, the fortress was easy to get around but those who are with them are the in essance the strongest fighters.
