Him
It was only yesterday when that... guy... unwelcomely came back I my life. He already ruined my youth.
He's the reason I'm alone...
"Guh..." I grunt under my breath. We had already returned home, but I can't shake off the feeling like his stupid grin is still there. Like he's just watching me, waiting. Waiting to ruin it all again.
"Come on, there's no way he actually remembers you. It's been years, I'm sure a dick like him wouldn't bother remembering your face." Zach tries to calm me down, actually enjoying his poptart out with me in the backyard while I'm just a grumpy shit eating it like it'll kill me.
This stuff is good, I don't know why not many humans like this.
"Bullshit he doesn't, he was way too friendly with Rachel. He's planning something, I know he is..."
"No offense, actually I don't give a crap about offense, you're a little protective of her. To the point where other humans may notice as odd and you'll blow our cover."
"Name one time" I arch a brow, I honestly don't see how my protection of someone so precious and something as fragile as the heart would be too much. For werewolves, at least.
"Want a list? How about a while back, some guy just left a banana peel on the ground and she lost her balance on it. I swear, you looked like you would have devoured him if she didn't keep you at bay." Bitch did not respect the world out of his little self centered bubble...
"Well, I didn't, so that doesn't count." I replied, sticking out my tongue at him. I wouldn't be surprised if we were secretly brothers, we sure do act like it. "Besides, I have a valid reason this time. Adam is dangerous. Will stop at nothing to get what he wants. The only reason I regret leaving that pack is because it was left in the situation it was."
"I know, okay? I know... He was destroying it and it was hard to feel... at home. Even his mate rejected him and ran for her life because she knew staying would be worse than death. I just wish the others were strong enough to see that and fight back."
Sighs "I can't let the girls find out. I can't let him anywhere near them again, it's too risky." I mutter. I finally find someone who dearly cares about me and who I am, I won't let anyone take that away from me. Soon after, Savannah's voice calls from somewhere inside, seemed pretty bubbly compared to her usual sassy tone.
"Boys! Get to the front, we're going to the arcade!"
We both looked back in the direction of the sound, but both kinda blanked out for a moment before turning to eachother.
"The hell is an arcade?..."
It's so loud. So many metal boxes flaring frantically as humans go back and forth from them, the lights were different colors and I felt like I'd go blind.
The girls... didn't seem displeased like us at all, pulling us to this machine to get little cards for each of us. Apparently, we use these, slide it in the light-up port, and then we can play the game. So credit cards specifically for gaming.
"We have loads of credits, so we should be able to enjoy as much as we want." Rachel cheers, already looking for what she wants to do first. God, what am I suppose to do?
"You boys stay with eachother and try out a few games. I'm sure you'll figure out how to play them as you go." Savannah reassured, makingbus feel like children learning something new that's simple for adults. Bitch...
Soon enough, our future wives vanish into the crowd, saying we'll meet back in two hours. We were mostly just roaming the hell house, did actually play a few of these digital games. One was just tossing a ball into a ring over and over within the time limit, another was just to hit the keys that light up in a fast pace to make the 'leaderboard'. Honestly, humans way of entertainment is strange, but fascinating.
"We still have an hour before we find the girls. What else should we do?" Zach asked, had found a giant ball just rolling around unowned so now he's keeping it. Some kid probably left it behind before we got here.
I was contemplating whether to try one with these movable bikes or this area with things called VR, when I spotted a machine with plush animals inside. What caught my attention was a black cat with a cyan bow around its neck. I immediately think of my kitten when I see it, and it's her favorite color, as I stroll towards it.
"Oo, let's get these. Human females love plush toys." Zach catches on, eyeing another machine with a rabbit inside that has a sparkly brown carrot. Strange color, but alright.
So we move the ball on a stick to move this 'claw' and then press the button to try and grab it. Sounds easy enough.
I'm gonna destroy this thing!
Sorry for long pauses in publishes, I got a life too, buddies.
