Ch. 23

Ch.23 

"david please!!"  I open my eyes and see myself standing in the woods. What the hell!! It's raining and there's lots of lighting and thunder but it's weird cause the rain is not hitting me at all. It's like I'm in my own personal bubble. I walk around checking my surroundings and in a flash I see bright blue eyes....

David 

"David stop please!!" I hear screaming. The voice was familiar and then when I looked behind him, It was me!!! Running after him!!! Just looking at David his eyes soon met mine instantly. He had a body over his shoulder but I  couldn't make out who it was. Looking at myself running after him, I noticed that I was ahead of my pack, even Luke. David ran fast and before he reached me, it was as though time stopped. The Skylar running behind him was frozen. The wolves all around were frozen except for me. David's body was frozen in front of me with the body on his shoulder and I didn't know whether to look at who it was or not. I looked deep into David's eyes and out of know where they moved...

"Oh my god" I gasped backing away. A grin appeared on his face and his body moved straight in place. 

"You are so gullible Skylar" he says moving forward slowly. I try to turn around but I tripped and fell. I turned back around to face him on the ground and he laughed as a I backed away. 

"My new weapon is right here and there's nothing you can do to stop me" he states. I can't speak but only gap.

"Weapon?" I was able to make out. 

"Your last bit of hope" he says. My eyes widen as the time returns to it's quick pace.  He runs right past me and myself  runs right through me. 

"No—"

"Skylar wake up!" 

My eyes snap open to see Ryan looking over me with worry all over his face. I pull myself up quickly and gasp...

"Ryan" I breathe. 

"you had a nightmare" he says. I look at the time and it reads 1:00pm. I must have slept in. 

"Oh my gosh my dream felt so real" I said. It was so familiar too but I totally forgot now. 

"Jesus what did you dream about?" He questions. I shake my head and relax myself thinking of those cold eyes. 

"David" I say.

"Skylar let me show you the ball room" Jace says leading me down the hall. Oh yeah I totally forgot....Luke wanted to take Ryan out with him to take care of some business while Jace took me over to Lukes territory. Haha at one point I totally forgot he was an alpha. Anywho, Luke had this gigantic ball room and thought It'd be perfect for tomorrow night. Some pack members opened the entrance doors for Jace and I and I thanked them delightedly. 

"woah" I said looking all around. Luke had a really huge house...or shall I call this an enormous mansion. There was a chandelier that hung above the granite tiled floor and I was just amazed. 

"Jace this is beautiful" I said. 

"I know" he muttered. Everything was fancy and over the top but how the hell could Luke possibly afford this. All my life I thought that jackass was poor.....what a shame. The tables were already set and some pack members were busy adding more decorations. 

"you know this is just a miniature party Jace, I don't understand why Luke had taken this so far---" 

"Skylar there are many Alphas coming here with multiple judgmental expectations. Luke is also well-respected by these men and to show some formal hospitality, shows that Luke is a very high class alpha" he says softly. Last I checked he never spoke in this type of tone before....
