Ch.13

Okay guys here's a propose for you. I thought long and hard about this and thought maybe I should have about 20 or 24 chapters before my 2nd book comes out. And I already chose my cover and everything else now I just need some character names. Also for this chapter I wanted it to kinda be you know more of Skylar and David etc.....do Enjoy.



Walking back, I was in shock. Then again half of me didn't not believe her and half of me did. I walked back out of the woods and saw cars leaving.

"Skylar!" I heard someone yell my name. I looked to the side of me and saw Jace running towards me. I had to keep a low profile or else they will suspect something especially David. Since he is my mate he could suspect when there is something wrong.

"Hey Jace" I said. Don't stutter Skyar.

"Where were you, Jessie told me that you ran into the woods after some she-wolf" he said.

"Oh um, it was an old friend of mine so nothing to worry about" I said. Oh my gosh that was the worst excuse story ever.

"Okay well everyone is leaving right now want me to drive you to the pack house?" He said. I looked around for a minute and saw everybody clearing out. Jace's convertible was still there as well.

"Yeah okay David is probably worried about me" I said. He walked over to his Black convertible. I opened the door and sat sown. He started the car and followed the other cars as they slowly made their way to the highway.

"Here I know a short cut" he said driving in the woods.

'Andrea' I said. Something wasn't right and I was getting a bit scared now.

'Don't worry Skylar, he is not going to do anything although ask questions' she said.

"So how are you taking all this you know...all this fighting and kidnapping just to kill you" he said.

"Um it's frustrating" I said while looking out the window. We were driving on a dirt road. We crossed the border and I finally saw the pack house and sighed in relief. He drove in front of the house where the front door opened reveling David. Jace turned off the engine and I opened my door.

"Hey" I said. He gave me another bare hug and kissed my head.

"I heard about your little incident" he said pulling away. Keep a low profile Sky.

"It was just an old friend" I said. He smiled and leaned in capturing my lips. When we pulled back cars began to arrive in front of the pack house.

"They're here" I said smiling and turning around to see everyone coming out and gathering around David and I.

"Welcome everyone to the Moonshine pack" David yelled. Everyone cheered. David was going to lead them to the house but stopped and turned to me.

"stay in the house Skylar I need to talk to you and it's important" he said strictly.

"Yes alpha" I smiled he stopped and turned to me smiling.

"Okay Ms. Alpha female too can play at this game" he said walking a way with the pack. I walked inside and heard Jessie and Jace laughing in the kitchen.

"Oh it was funny when it was our first day of freshman year and she had a crush on this boy, so when it was lunch she was carrying her tray and then didn't look straight ahead and crashed right into her crush. The food was all over him and he growled at Skylar about to attack her and he slipped on the food. Everyone laughed and Skylar ran into the restroom crying." Jessie said making me smirk.

"You do know I have ears right?" I said coming in the kitchen. Jessie and I smiled while Jace just laughed.

"Hey it was a funny story" he said.

"Whatever, I never even got the chance to say I was sorry because I was too scared of him" I said walking to my room upstairs. Once I went inside and took a deep breath and threw my body on the bed. I heard the door opened and inhaled his scent.

"Skylar" He said sitting on the bed next to me.

"Hmm" I said. My face was in the bed.

"We need to talk about something very important" he said. I turned around and face him looking up.

"Ok" I said taking a deep breath preparing myself for probably some terrible news.

"I talked to the school-" once that word came out of his mouth a groaned out loud.

"Nooooooo we're all going to die" I said.

"Sky here me out, I talked to the school about what's been going on throughout this week and I suggested a way we could both finish our senior year" he said.

"How?"

"Your uncle Luke is going to homeschool us" he said. I smiled and jumped in his arms.

"Yay" I said. He growled when I jumped onto his lap. I smiled when his eyes turned black.

"Hold your horses mr. Big bad wolf, we can wait" I said giving a peck on his lips.

"Yeah in the mean we can-" he stopped when we both sniffed the air. Was something burning?

"Alpha!" Jessie shouted. She slammed the door open looking at me to David.

"What is it" he said.

"Rogues, there were 6 of them, they set fire to 2 houses and it spread in the trees" she said. We all ran downstairs and outside watching the 2 houses in flames.

"Jessie let's go, Skylar please stay inside"David said giving me a light kiss. He pulled back and both Jessie and him shifted in their wolves running towards the fires. WHAT THE HELL, SINCE WHEN DID MY OWN BEST FRIEND SHIFT!!!! I heard screaming and looked the other direction of the fire. What the hell? I heard another scream, it was from a girl. I ran the opposite direction following the screaming. I ran as fast as I could deeper inside the woods. I finally heard another scream close by. It was Cloe's!

"No leave me alone!" She yelled trying to get out of his grasp. I saw Drake trying to grab hold of Cloe and I growled outside making them both stop.

"You again" I said growling at Drake.

"Well I see you were the only one that wasn't distracted by the fire" he said grinning. Cloe was trying to get out of his grasp but he was too strong for her.

"Let her go" I demanded. I felt tiny droplets on my face. It was rain.

"Like I will ever let her girl, she is just what I need so if you let me take her, I will be out of your hair in no time". He said moving.

"I'm not going to repeat myself again Drake, Let. Her. Go" I said more louder. I could hear thunder now which kinda shook me.

"Or what your going to shift and kill me, you can't even fight" he said laughing.

'Skylar I need you to become more angrier this will make the weather change' Andrea said.

"Well I'll have you know that I am stronger, faster, and more likely to kick your ass" I said with my alpha tone.

'I can't do it' I said to Andrea.

'Wait for it your anger is comming' she said before I shut her off.

"Your nothing but a pathetic mutt that does not know how to let go, you always think your the badass one here but remember this, once this war comes I will personally kill you and all your pathetic loved ones especially that little mate of yours, then see who the real badass is" he said.

"It's a shame you didn't tell your mate about this, cause then it would be easier so that all the packs could kill you" he said. I balled my hands up into fists and felt everything in me heat up. I heard thunder roaring and lighting bright in the sky. It started raining and I smiled.

'Now keep it up' Andrea said. Drake looked up at the sky then at me.

"Alright Drake you want to play then" I said. Andrea took over. Drake cracked Cloe's neck making her fall on the ground. Her eyes were still open although it was that she was paralyzed. Damn he took my trick. He growled out louder shifting into his Large Grey wolf. I shifted into my wolf and ducked his striking attack.

'We have no experience in fighting Andrea, we will die' I told her.

'No we don't but that's why we were given Weather and Elements as our special gift' she said making me confused. He turned away and ran towards me Trying to attack me.

'Remember when you choked the girl with your water element now your going to push him into that tree across from you with your wind' she said. Drake jumped on top of my wolf and took a bit out of my shoulder. Arg that hurt like hell. I howled in pain and pushed him off of me.

'Andrea please help me I can't do it, please' I begged Andrea.

'Yes you can Skylar just focus's on Wind only' she said. Mud was pouring in and my Shoulder was in pain. I sniffed the air and smelled David's scent. Drake lunged at me and before he could attack me David's wolf pushed him away. I got up watching as David viciously attacked Drake. Before David could take another bite out of Drake, Drake bit his leg and he whimpered in pain. I ran as fast as I could pushing Drake off of him. Shoot bad move Sky. David stood up in front of me growling at Drake to back off. Drake growled loudly about to lunge. No! As he was lunging a gust of wind pushed him back making him hit a tree. He didn't move after that and the rain, thunder and lightning stopped.

'Told you' Andrea said.

'Shut up' I said shutting her off. David growled at me before turning to look at me. I ran behind a tree and saw clothes.

'Seriously are there like clothes all behind trees or something' I said putting on the clothes. I looked at my shoulder and saw the my wound was healing but there was still one side that was not healing. Worst part of all is that the part that was not healed was bleeding and it's staining the shirt. Ewww. I walked out and saw David in shorts only looking at Drake. I saw Cloe and she looked frightened. I picked her up and David looked at me worried.

"Is your shoulder okay?" He asked.

"Yeah it's just a bite wound, half of it is already healed" I said.

"Yeah but-" he stopped there and clenched his hands into fists.

"We will talk about this later, right now I just need get things going" he said running his fingers in his hair. I nodded and carried Cloe to the pack house. Jessie and Jase came out of the house and Jessie looked worried.

"Cloe, Skylar!" She yelled running to me.

"What happened" she said looking at Cloe. She looked at my shoulder and it was like her eyes were going to pop out from how much shock she was in.

"Oh my gosh Skylar your bleeding" she said. Oh gosh this girl is so dramatic.

"Jessie calm down geez" I said. She looked at Cloe then me.

"Calm down Skylar your bleeding and my sister is paralyzed and your telling me to calm down" she said out loud. Jace came to her side.

"Jessie what she is trying to say is that you need to breathe in and out cause your hyperventilating" he said. That actually made me a little mad.

"No I'm not 'trying' to tell you to calm down, I'm stating it Jessie you are over reacting because of one thing!" I yelled. I handed Cloe to Jace so that he would hold her.

"Why are you being an ass to me Skylar I'm worried because of your shoulder and my sister and your just busting in here saying that I'm over reacting, how about this Skylar you calm down because with you yelling at me for no reason is being a bitch!" She yelled back.

"Oh really I'm the bitch when the fact that you don't even tell me what is going on around here, I barely come back and now everything is supposed to be all new for me here! I thought friends tell each other everything!!" I yell back.

"I don't even know what you are talking about!" She yelled back.

"Oh really you don't know what I'm talking about Ms. I'm the new beta here who never told me she shifted, and to think when we were little we promised each other that we would shift together!" I yell back on the verge of tears. She looked shocked and then guilt washed over her.

"Sky-"

"No Jessie just leave me alone" I said walking inside the pack house. I walked upstairs and opened the room door falling on the bed and sighing,

"Everything's just got to become a big blow. It's always my fault for everything I do, I caused all this damage because of me" I said to myself.

'Stop blaming yourself it will only cause you more pain' Andrea said.

'I can't, Everything that has happened was all because of me' I said in irritation.

'No it's not' she said. I need to find a way to cool myself down.

'Take a cold shower' she said. She's right maybe cool water could help me.


David's pov


I sighed in Frustration. This was all too frustrating. After Skylar left with Cloe I touched Drakes neck and felt a very slow pulse. This boy just cannot die can he. I told some of my pack members to take him to the cells along with the other rogues. While walking back something in my body just told me to go check on Cloe and I did.

"Hey David" Jace greeted. I saw Jessie come outside from her house and she sighed.

"You can Come in" she said. I walked inside her house and saw Cloe on the couch not moving.

"How long will it take until she is back to normal?" Jessie said looking concerned.

"About and hour or so don't worry she will be fine" I reassured her.

"Can I speak to Cloe privately?" I asked she nodded and took Jace out the front door. Once I knew they were officially out I faced Cloe.

"Hello alpha" she said.

"Hello Cloe" I said looking at her closely.

'Tell her what happened before the fight had taken place' my wolf said.

'Okay' shutting him off.

"What do you need" she said.

"I don't need anything all I want to know is what happened before the fight started between Skylar and Drake" I said. She looked at me scared but I didn't understand why.

"Jessie saw smoke from the trees while we were walking outside and told me to go back to the house. While I was walking I felt him grab me and start pulling me in the woods. I was screaming for help for 5 minutes until Skylar came trying to make him release me" she said, her voice was cracking as she spoke.

"And then what happened" I said.

"Well Skylar tried to make him let go of me and then he told her something about war comming" she said. My eyes widened.

"War? What do you mean war? As in packs fighting?" She nodded.

"He said something about Once war comes then he will kill all her loved ones and you, he also said that it was a shame that she didn't tell you cause then it would have been easier for packs to kill her" I nodded. So that's what she has been hiding from me.

"Thank you Cloe" I said getting up and getting ready to leave. I opened the door and began walking to the pack house. I saw Jessie and Jace coming out.

"Thank you Jessie" I told her entering in the house and going upstairs. I opened the room door and saw Skylar in a towel all wet.

"Hi" she said. My eyes wondered her whole body. I could feel my wolf wanting to take control but I tried fighting him.

"I'm gonna go let you change" I said leaving the room quickly. That was a close one.


Skylars pov


I just got out of the shower and saw David in the room. He looked up and down me like he was going to pounce on me.

"Hi" I said trying to snap out of his thoughts. I could tell he was trying to fight his wolf and as I looked at him his eyes turned pitch black.

"I'm gonna go let you change" he said leaving the room. I looked around and found my duffel bag. It still had a little bit of clothes but not a lot. I put on a tank top with some nice short and sandals [along with the other accesories]. The door opened and David walked in sitting on the bed. I sat down and there was an Akward silence he broke.

"So during these last dew days was there anything that's new?" He asked. I thought about it hard and remembered all of those things that I found out. I cannot tell him.

"Nope not really" I said in my casual voice. I got up and walked around the room while he sighed in frustration.

"Your lying to me Skylar" he said getting up and approaching me.

"No" I said. Shit, shit, shit damn stupid mate things.

"We're mates and could tell if one of us were lying and you are lying to me" he said.

"About what then?"

"Don't play stupid with me Skylar just tell my what Drake and that she-wolf told you" he said. Ahhhhh he knew about that too.

'Andrea help' I pleaded.

'Tell him to tell you since he knows' right good idea, yeshh

"If you know about it so much then why don't you tell me what you know" I said playing with him. He growled loudly.

"Dammit Skylar what's this about some War coming" he said. My eyes widened with shock. How?

"How did you know about this?" I said.

"Cloe told me about how Drake was telling you that once war comes he will kill everyone you love including me" he said. Oh my gosh.

"I can't tell you David or he will find out" I said.

"Who is he?" He questioned oh snap.

"I-"

"You know what I will find out myself" he said walking to the door. I stopped him.

"No wait please don't go David" I pleaded. He closed the door.

'Andrea this is Bad' I told her.

'I know' she said.




David's pov

I was pissed off right now that she wouldn't tell me and I was her mate. I walked downstairs and went to my pack members guarding the cells.

"Hello Alpha" they said.

"Are the rogues down here" I said. They nodded and I went down. I saw the 6 rogues in each cell. When they looked at me I growled. I went down further in the cells and saw Drake in one of the cells chained up. He opened his eyes and grinned. The guards opened the cell door and I walked in grabbing a chair and sitting down watching him. He laughed and I punched him making him spit blood.

"Your too late" he spat laughing. I punched him again.

"Late for what" I said. He looked at me while blood poured from his mouth and nose. He grinned.

"I see you must have found out about the war coming" he said. I kneeled down next to him.

"What war? Between who?" I questioned.

"You don't get it do you" he said. I grabbed his collar and pulled him towards me.

"What the hell is going on" I snapped.

"The night Skylar shifted into her wolf Luke told her the reason why the council wants her dead is because she is an ancient descendent from a king and a queen, now put all the pieces together" he snapped. My eyes widened.

"You mean to tell me that-" he cut me off.

"Packs are coming to kill Skylar unless-" he stopped.

"Unless what" I said. He laughed.

"Your all going to die" he spat. He grabbed him by the throat and put a lot pressure making him choke.

"Unless what!" I yell.

"Unless you kill our leader before he kills her and you and everyone that is going to die" he said laughing. I let go of him and growled.

"Who is your leader?" I said.

"That you must ask that she wolf of yours" he said.

"She's my mate" I said about to leave.

"You haven't even marked her and when he comes he will take what is yours and have her for himself" he said laughing. I growled loudly.

"Know one will take what is mine, Skylar is mine not that asshole!" I yelled punching him again in the face. I ran out and ran to the pack house. When I opened the room door Skylar was on the bed just sitting there.

"David?" She stood up and I couldn't take it anymore. I let my wolf take over.




Skylars pov

He bursted the room door open and his eyes were pitch black.

"David?" I said. I stood up and he pushed me roughly against the wall. I could tell that his wolf was in control. Shoot. He sniffed my neck and licked my soon to be mark. This sent sparks all throughout my body. I was about to say something until I gasped when I felt his canines sink into my neck.


Everything went black.
