When Marni arrived in the makeshift gym under Bekas house, Jason and Blake were already sparring together. Jodie and Samantha were watching from the side-lines. They were both wearing similar clothes to Marni, a small camisole and shorts.

Jason kicked out, but stopped mid-way, having noticed Marni. Blake used the advantage to grab his brother's leg and flip him over.

"What's wrong, brother?" He taunted. Jason ignored his brother and got up.

"Marni, what are you doing here? I thought this training was only for us and the full witch."

"It is, silly. I'm the full witch. Sorry I couldn't tell you earlier, Beka said I shouldn't. You ready to spar?" Blake smirked.

"Sure. I think I'd like to fight you. Come on; let's see what you're made of."

"Sure you can handle hitting a girl?" Marni mocked.

"Trust me. No problem at all. Are we going with magic?"

"Why? Do you think you're gonna need it to beat me? No, let's do this the old fashioned way."

"You realise you sound like a guy right now?" Blake teased. Marni nodded.

"Yup. Now let's get started."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

By 7:30, all three of them were worn out. Marni had won all but 3 spars, so was feeling pretty proud, especially since she wasn't even trying her hardest. Turns out, spending 3 hours in the gym every afternoon for 2 years really helps your sparring skills.

"Geez! Where did you learn to fight like that?" Jason asked, huffing and puffing. Marni shrugged.

"I don't really know. I just kinda picked it up from watching other people fight. That's how I can perform so many counters; I'm just really good at guessing what people are going to do next." Marni explained. She had always been a fast learner, and fighting was no exception.

Blake smirked. "Well done, witch. Not bad, for a girl."

"You're not bad for an old guy." She countered.

"I'm not only older than you, I'm smarter than you." Blake snapped.

"And yet, I'm so much better looking." Jase butted in.

"This conversation didn't involve you!" Blake snapped, clearly angry.

"Wow, someone's PMSing." Jase muttered under his breath, ensuring that only Marni could hear him. Marni chuckled a little before heaving herself up.

"Come on then, any one up for another spar?" The boys both groaned, heaving themselves up.

"Here we go again." Jason complained as he took a fighting stance next to his brother.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hey, Rose! You coming tonight, I wanna show you this new one Jodie taught me with Blake and Jase!" Marni asked, running slightly to catch up with her friend. Rose nodded absentmindedly. "Hey, are you OK? You seem kinda down."

Rose nodded again. She couldn't help but think about her orders. She had come to think of Marni as a real friend, yet she had to kill her? He had told her to do it tonight, but she was having second thoughts. Maybe she could blag that she said the wrong word and accidently said a deadly spell instead of an ice spell. There were a couple that sounded similar, but there were a lot of complications, like Beka. She cared too much for Marni, and those 2 warlocks that had a crush on her, they wouldn't take the news well either. I'm strong, but not that strong. A 100% and 2 warlocks? No way can I beat them alone without revealing myself as a – no, I can't even think it, people could be monitoring my mind. Damn!

"-se, Rose? Hey, Rose, snap out of it!" Rose jumped slightly. "Are you sure that you're ok? You seem really out of it."

"Yer, I'm fine. Sorry, just a little tired; I swear Miss Black has the most tedious voice ever. No wonder she's not married!" She joked. Marni smiled slightly and nudged Rose.

"Watch it, she's behind you." She stated, grinning. Rose spun around, apologising, before stopping and glaring.

"You mean child! I thought I was in trouble! She's not even there!"

Marni couldn't help but laugh.

"You- you should have seen your face. Man that made my day! Oh, I'm sorry Miss Black; I don't know what came over me! Ha!" Marni stuttered through her fit of laughter.

"What's so funny?" A voice asked from behind her. She twirled around and beamed, hugging the person now in front of her.

"Jase! I was laughing at Rose. Oh, wait, you haven't met yet, have you? Rose, this is Jase. Jase this is Rose."

"Good to meet you!" Jase smiled warmly. He slung a casual arm over Marnis shoulder and leant to whisper in Marnis ear. "Does she know about the witch slash warlock thing?" Marni nodded, still looking amused from her earlier laughing session. "Good, anyway, I'm here to escort you home. Beka sent me; she said it was better if we stuck together. Blake's waiting in the car, though I doubt he'll stay there much longer, he's a bit fidgety."

"OK. But why are you still whispering in my ear?" Marni whispered into Jason's ear. Jase shrugged.

"I don't know, but it's kinda fun watching Blakes facial expressions as he watches us. I think he's Jealous, but then, I would be too." Marni sent a quizzical look to Jase before turning back to Rose.

"I've got to go; will you be ok walking home alone?" She asked, concern drawn all over her face. Rose nodded and smiled.

"Sure! See you on Monday!" Marni hugged Rose before twisting back to Jase. "All set?" Jase nodded. "Let's go then!"

Waving at Marnis retreating form, Rose turned and headed out of the gate.

'I don't want to do it; I don't want to kill her. Please don't make me? I know you can hear me.'

'Rose, don't you love me? I thought you said you would do anything for me? I love you Rose! Please, for me? I'll cook you your favourite meals, and clean and do everything, but please, do this for me?'

'NO! Don't over exert yourself, you know you're not fully healed yet, I know you enjoy cooking but I'll still the cleaning and stuff! Of course I love you! I don't know what I was thinking! I'm so sorry. I'll be back home soon! I love you!'

'I love you to. Bye baby.'

'Bye!'

'I have to' Rose thought 'for him.'
