chapter 12

A/N i am sooooo sorry for not posting sooner... just dont hate me for this chapter........

Still April's POV

After mine and Niall's awkward moment I must have fallen asleep because I woke to the smell of chicken. I sat up feeling something heavy on my legs, looking down I noticed Niall had his head on me as a pillow and was asleep. I looked around seeing the guys putting food out on the picnic table so I coughed to get at least one of their attention. Zayn looked over smiling, and then nudged Harry, who poked Louis who pinched Liam, and they all stood there smiling and laughing at the position I was stuck in. I mouthed 'help me' to them and Liam ran over to our bags and stuff getting out his camera to record us.

I thought I would make it interesting to wake him up and give the boys a laugh. I suddenly let out a loud scream. Niall shot up and dived across me as if he was protecting me from something. Everyone ended up laughing their heads off, all except Niall; he sat next to me pouting. So I thought I would do something I never thought I would ever do... I hugged him. He stiffened a little and hugged me back. Behind us we could hear comments being made by Harry and Louis that made us blush.

"I'm sorry, it was funny. And I didn't think you were going to act like that".

"You looked comfy so I guess it was my own fault".

We got up and sat at the picnic table, I found out that Liam and Zayn had gone out and bought Nando's for lunch. Niall had a couple of Peri Peri chickens in front of him with loads of other things. I went to sit in between Louis and Harry, but Niall grabbed my hand pulling me to sit next to him. They bought me a chicken burger with chips and a couple bottles of coke. I hadn't even touched my food and Niall was talking to me again.

"They didn't know what to get you, so I suggested this. You can help yourself to my food as well if you would like, I don't mind".

There were gasps coming from around the table. What is their problem? Food is food right? Ohhhh, I think I just realised what just happened. Niall doesn't share food, pretty much like Joey from that programme, Friends. And Niall was actually offering to share his food... to me?

"Niall, how are you feeling? Have you been drinking enough water? Guys, maybe he has been out in the sun too long".

All the guys started feeling his head and shoving bottles of water at him, he kept swatting our hands away. I wasn't really concentrating on that though, why does Niall want to share his food, in the history of everyone who knows Niall, he does NOT share his food with anyone!

"Guys, can I speak to April for a second. Please?"

The guys grabbed their food and drinks off the table, walked over and grabbed their bags and just left Niall and me on the picnic bench. Awkward Silence. Niall turned facing me having a leg either side of the seat we were sitting on. I was well aware of his eyes on me, so I just carried on eating my chips, not making eye contact. He reached out to take my hand and moved my hand to his mouth and ate the chip that I had picked up, and then kissed my hand. I looked at him, which was a mistake because I looked into his bright blue eyes, and totally melted. He leaned closer to me, and I started leaning into him a bit. I then got back to my senses, and pushed him away, got up running- grabbing my bag on the way.

I just ran, not looking back. I ended up at the stockyard leaning against the enclosure for the two ponies. I heard voices, so turned around seeing Harry, Liam, Zayn and Louis entering the stockyard; I don't think they have seen me yet, so I just ran again. This time I ended up back at the dorm, in my room with my door locked. Times like this is where I need my horse as somewhere to escape to. Then an idea popped into my head, I grabbed my blanket from the end of my bed, grabbed my tracksuit bottoms and a jumper, grabbed my bag I dropped just inside the door from the day and made my way to the stable yard in the college.
