chapter 13

Louis' POV

"Liam, this better be a good reason for waking me up".

"I need your help... I think I know where April is".

"YOU KNOW WHERE APRIL IS?!?!? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US?!?!? DID YOU NOT SEE HOW MUCH NIALL WAS FREAKING OUT??"

"LOUIS SHUT UP! I said I THINK I DO! I laid in bed thinking about the conversation I had with her when I first spoke to her in the stockyard. She said being around animals help her relax, also that she loves her horse a lot and I think that if her horse was here, she would have gone to the stables".

"Ohh... so why did you wake me up to drag me out in the cold?"

"Because, we are going to the stables and if she is there, we are going to bring her back to the dorms".

I swear I must have been dropped on my head as a child, I'm so slow sometimes, and I love carrots. Liam actually grabbed a couple for me as I put some clothes on this way I stay awake. During our walk to the stable, we spoke about what we can do about this problem and have come up with a solution, but for now... they need a little space.

"Please tell me that we are not going to have to check every stable to see where she is... if we do we need help... there is a hell of a lot of stables".

"Louis... remember, we have a block of 6 stables. The band and a stable for another person........ Do you know where I'm going with this now?"

I slowly nodded my head and we quickly walked over to our stables. On the doors to each of the stables are the names of our horses. I didn't recognise the horse name that was on the last stable door. I nudged him lightly and we both walked over slowly not to make any noise and peered over the top of the half door.

Liam's POV

Louis nudged me in the side, I couldn't remember the name of her horse and Louis knows all of our horses' names. I followed him to the stable at the end reading the name on the door, 'JAZZIE', that's it! We peered over the door, if anyone actually saw us doing this; they would think we were stalkers or being perverts or something- wow... Louis would usually think that not me.

Low and behold, there she was, spread out across the blocks of sawdust at the side of the stable.  She had a blanket that was partly wrapped around her, and she made use of a jumper as a pillow. The stable is actually quite warm but there is no way I'm going to leave her here. If she is like me, I wouldn't want to return on my own free will.

"Lou, we are taking her back to the dorm. I will carry her back; can you pick up her things please?"

He nodded and proceeded to unlock the stable door as quietly as possible so as to not wake her. I know she asked for us not to look for her, but I couldn't help but feel the need to find her and make sure she is ok. I know you are all thinking, 'you like her'. I do, but more as a sister than anything.

I went over to her removing the headphones that had fallen out of her ears and gave them along with the phone to Louis who put her things in her bag. I slid one arm under her legs, and the other just her back picking her up. She subconsciously wrapped an arm around my neck, as Louis tucked up the blanket that was dangling off her body. He picked up her things, and followed me out carefully shutting and locking the stable door behind him.

We walked back in silence, we didn't want to risk waking her up, and if April did wake we could have made the situation worse. We made it back to the dorm, Louis leading the way making sure no one was around. He would wave to let me know it was clear, so I proceeded to the door of our dorm. We slowly walked in and followed Louis to her room he placed her things next to her bed and then pulled back her duvet for me to lay her in her bed and then pulled the duvet over her body.

We left her room and went into mine to talk.

"Louis, we can't tell the guys that she is back. I think she will be angry as it is with us bringing her back. I think one of us should stay in her room and sleep on the floor until she wakes up. I don't want her to run off again".

"I will stay with her. If the guys see me leave her room, I'll say I left something in there when I ran from there when her door got knocked down. There isn't exactly a reason for you to be in her room, besides I think I can calm her down and make her laugh".

"Thanks Lou, I really owe you. Phone me or text me if you need anything- not if you want carrots, but if she needs food or drink".

"Get some sleep Li, see you in the morning, or later, well whatever".

Louis left the room, and I heard April's door open and then close. I'll have to talk to her tomorrow. But for now, let's just sleep and keep the fact she is in the dorm away from Niall.

April's POV

I woke up in something soft and cuddly with the sun shining through the window, wait... WINDOW?!?! I sat up really fast adjusting my eyes to the room, recognising it as my own. I'm back at the dorm? I remember falling asleep in the stable where my horse will be staying when she arrives, but how did I get here? I swung my legs off the side of the bed, and then I hear a groan- that I did not make. I looked to where my feet were and realised I kicked Louis. Why is Louis in my room, sleeping on the floor next to my bed?

"April, your awake!"

He got up got his phone, it looked like he was texting someone. And hugged me which shocked me, so I did what I could and that was hug him back, even though it did feel awkward.

"What are you doing in my room? What am I doing back in my room?"

He put his finger to his lips indicating for me to be quiet, he slowly opened my bedroom door, and I heard another door open, then close. I looked towards the door and Liam stood there with a bag of what looks like food and a couple of coffee cups balanced on his hand from the café. He came in with Louis shutting the door quietly again and handed me one of the cups, and on the side was written 'hot chocolate', I took it from him smiling.

Liam took my desk chair while Louis sat on the end of my bed. Liam gave me a couple of paper bags, in them were different flavour cookies, and muffins. I gave him a small hug saying how grateful I was for the breakfast.

"So guys, now can you tell me what I'm doing here?"

"April, I know you asked us to not go looking for you, but I got worried. You are like a sister to me, and I wanted to make sure you were ok. So, in the middle of the night, I made sure everyone was asleep and then woke up Louis, here, to help me go and get you. I carried you back here and we thought one of us should stay with you to prevent you from bumping into the guys".

"Oh".

"Yeah, Liam and I are the only two who know that you are here. We know you need space, so if you want to be on your own you can. We will bring you food in here or anything you need. But we do think you need to talk to Niall at some point".

"Thank you guys, really. I know I need to talk to Niall at some point. But for now, can we eat and watch a couple of movies together?"

They looked at each other as if they were having a silent conversation, and then Louis smiled.

"Let's go to my room, I have a lot of dvds in there and I have a fridge in there with a secret stash of movie food".

"LET'S GO!"

Louis went out first, and then waved for Liam and me to follow. We tip-toed along to Louis room and got settled on the floor and the bed. Louis put in The Hangover DVD, grabbed some sweets and random stuff and sat on the floor leaning against his bed. We spent the next hour and a half laughing our heads off.

Louis got up to put the Hangover 2 in, when there was a knock on the door.

"Louis, I need to talk. I'm coming in..."

The door opened and he walked in, he caught my eyes and just stared at me shocked.

"Hey...?"

"Hi"
