Chapter 18

I hope that everyone has had an amazing week so far.  Also who is ready for a chapter in Sesshomaru's POV, I know that I am...  Thank you all for being patient with the story updates.  Thank you for the Votes, and Comments as well.

Sesshomaru's POV

I am coming to realize that I may not be able to protect my mate alone, let alone our pup on the way. After Izayoi took Rin, I walked out followed by my father and Inuyasha. I cannot believe that I am doing this, but if it is for Rin's and our pups safety, I will do anything. Growling is not going to do a thing, so I forced the animal side down.

"Sesshomaru mine explaining what is going on?" If inuyasha does not control himself, I may just attack him, again.

"Demons and others, are trying to kill Rin, and my pup." I growled out, and clenched my jaw and fists.

"What can we do to help?" Father, trying to help, trying to keep me from attacking his youngest of course.

"Rin needs to stay here for a while." I looked over at Inuyasha, knowing that he would allow this, according to my mate, they have become what some would say a best friend.

"Rin can stay here as long as she would like, now what about you?" I will give inuyasha credit for not being such a child any longer, perhaps that human of his was good for him. I know my human is good for me, she is so much more than I could have ever expected.

"What will you do?" Father asked.

"I will take care of the problem."

"Well I'm not letting you do it alone." Inuyasha, must you really do this?

"Do as you wish." I don't have time for this. I then heard Rin scream for me, and I was by her side in a blink of an eye. I kneeled down to look at her, she reached out and took my hand to place it on her belly. Someone was kicking a bit too hard, I tried to keep myself in check when she spoke about someone missing me. I had to speak with our little one for a while, before Rin was no longer in pain. Soon after we left, Rin was tired so I carried her to her old home in the village.

Holding Rin and our unborn pup in my arms, running my hand over our pup within her to keep both of them relaxed and calm. Every so often I could feel a slight kick or some sort of movement. Rin began to fall asleep and I made sure to keep her on her side. What am I going to do with these two? I need to leave to handle the situation back home, but I am also afraid to leave them behind. Will Rin be safe here, will our pup be safe once he is born? Will I myself be able to protect them? My arms tighten around my sleeping mate. I will protect them both with my life!

Resting my head on top of Rins, I breathed her in to calm myself. She murmured my name in her sleep, and snuggled closer against me. How much I have changed for this human... For my Mate... I never knew what this feeling was before, what it would feel like to have someone I could never leave without... Now that I have found it, I will do anything, and everything to protect it, her, them. Love is a dangerous, confusing, and an amazing thing. Once you find the one who holds your heart, never let them go, not ever. Hold onto them, and tell them how much you care, even if it is against how you may usually do things.

Whispering into Rin's ear was the last thing I remember doing, other than rubbing our unborn pup within her womb. "I love you."

I know that it is short, but I will try to update sometime during the week if I can.  I just like where this chapter ends I guess.  Please let me know what you think.
