Thyme watched Kavin, his heart aching as the younger man's body trembled in his arms. He was a mess—tears streaking his cheeks, breath shallow and panicked—but there was a raw vulnerability in Kavin that made Thyme want to hold him forever.

"You came to the room early. Why?"

"I'm sleepy..." Kavin's voice cracked, his words slurring with exhaustion. "And I think... I have a headache."

Thyme's eyes narrowed, his fingers brushing across Kavin's feverish skin. "You're burning up, Kavin."

Kavin only shook his head weakly.

"Maybe I have a fever."

Kavin stumbled and collapsed onto the bed, his body like dead weight.

"Hey, what's going on with you?" Thyme's voice was low, a mix of concern and something else—something darker, possessive, as his gaze traveled over Kavin's flushed skin.

"Nothing..." Kavin murmured, though his hands trembled as he tried to hide the tears still welling in his eyes.

Thyme's heart clenched. "You're crying," he whispered, his voice barely a breath.

"No..." Kavin's protest was weak, barely a whisper. He turned his face away, trying to shield the raw emotion from Thyme's gaze.

"Please, let me be."

For a moment, Thyme just watched him—his heart breaking at the sight of Kavin trying so hard to hold everything in, when all he wanted to do was make it better.

With a quiet sigh, Thyme crawled onto the bed, his body moving toward Kavin like a magnet. He leaned down, cradling Kavin's face gently in his hands, forcing him to look up.

"Kavin, talk to me." Thyme's voice was a low murmur, intense but soft, as he traced the line of Kavin's jaw with his thumb. "I can't help you if you don't tell me what's going on."

Kavin trembled beneath his touch, and a strangled sob escaped him. He tried to pull away, but Thyme was insistent, pulling him back into his arms and holding him there.

"If I tell you, will you leave me?" Kavin's voice was thick with emotion, the words like a quiet plea.

Thyme's chest tightened, and he shook his head. "Why would I leave you, Kavin?" His tone was firm now, possessive. "You don't ever have to be afraid of that. You hear me?"

Kavin shook his head, tears slipping down his face like a torrent. "Because... it's too much for you."

Thyme felt his heart break all over again. He kissed Kavin's forehead gently, pulling him even closer.

"There's nothing 'too much' for me. Not when it comes to you." He pressed his lips to Kavin's cheek, his breath hot against his skin. "Tell me what's hurting you. I'm here, Kavin."

Kavin's sobs quieted, but his body remained tense. He pulled back slightly, his hands trembling as he wiped away his tears. "I feel like I'm failing everyone... like I'm not enough."

Thyme's heart thudded in his chest. He cupped Kavin's face, brushing his thumb over his lips, the touch soft and slow.

"You're wrong, Kavin." His voice was steady, unwavering. "You're more than enough. And I'll never let you think otherwise. Do you hear me?"

Kavin's gaze softened, but there was still doubt behind his eyes. He opened his mouth to speak, but before he could, Thyme captured his lips in a kiss—slow, tender, but laced with a hunger that he could no longer deny.

The kiss deepened, and Kavin melted into it, his arms wrapping around Thyme's neck. They fit together perfectly, as if this was the way they'd always been meant to be—tangled up in each other, skin against skin, heartbeats in sync.

Thyme broke the kiss slowly, his lips lingering against Kavin's as he whispered, "You're mine, Kavin. You don't ever have to doubt that."

Kavin's breath hitched, and he stared at Thyme, wide-eyed.

"But... you don't understand. I've been pushing you away... I've been scared that I'm too much. That if you knew everything..."

Thyme smiled, his hand trailing down Kavin's chest, his fingers teasing the waistband of his shirt.

"Kavin," he murmured, his voice thick with desire. "You're never too much for me. Don't you see that? I'm not going anywhere. And you... you have me, all of me."

Kavin let out a shaky breath, his chest rising and falling rapidly. He looked at Thyme—eyes dark, full of emotion—and whispered, "I love you... I always have."

Thyme smiled, his lips brushing against Kavin's forehead as he pulled him closer. "I love you too, Kavin. And you're going to let me show you just how much I love you. I'll take care of you, no matter what."

As Kavin melted into his embrace once more, Thyme pressed a gentle kiss to the top of his head. "Rest now. I'm not letting go of you."

And in the warmth of that moment, surrounded by their shared confessions, they knew—no more doubts, no more fear. They had each other, and nothing was ever going to change that.
