"I asked you one question. Tell me, do you love me?"

"That doesn't matter." (Win looks away, voice unsteady.)

"When I ask you something, answer directly."

(Bright locks the door with a quiet click and steps closer. Win instinctively moves back until his legs hit the edge of the bed. Nowhere to run.)

"For God's sake, leave me alone." (Win's breath is uneven, heart pounding.)

"Why, Win? You have to say yes or no. Why let my question go unanswered?" (Bright's gaze is intense, unwavering.)

(A tense silence stretches between them. Win clenches his fists, then finally exhales sharply.)

"Yes. Yes, I love you! Happy now?"

(Bright's lips curl into a smirk, but his eyes soften.)

"I knew it." (He reaches out, fingertips brushing against Win's cheek.) "I love you too, my angel."

(Win flinches slightly at the touch, turning his face away. Bright frowns but doesn't pull back.)

"Still, you won't give yourself to me?" (His voice is quieter now, almost vulnerable.)

"I'm scared." (Win finally meets his eyes, fear flickering in his expression.) "If someone finds out... if they know this happened... we will be thrown into the dungeons."

(Bright's jaw tightens. He reaches out again, but this time, he's gentler, his touch lingering just above Win's wrist.)

"Let them come," he murmurs. "I'd fight the whole world for you."
