How They Handle Jealousy

Spike- It was a cold night which was rare, not too cold but enough to lay goosebumps across my pretty skin. Spike had pissed me off earlier after I left his crypt, I was going to offer him to move into my house, he was already attached to his own place expressing how he wanted his own privacy. It turned into a big argument that made me wonder if this was the end, I was keeping my second life a secret. I folded my arms walking to The Bronze wanting a drink, over the years of knowing him even when I was playing as a high school student despite me being older and avoiding all the rowdy perverted boys like Xander, my friend grew up and I was able to fit in using the Gem of Amara for so long thanks to Angel after I left LA. Spike knew who I was, we knew each other before Angel left me for Darla and Buffy. I was easily let in the lounge, I ordered my favorite drink sitting down. I didn't realize my friends walk in coming my way"Hey Y/N! Didn't expect to see you here!" I harshly swallowed the alcohol putting my hand on the table to see Willow "O-Oh yeah, I just wanted a drink, I can leave-." "No, no! It's actually great seeing you, actually I wanted to ask you something." Xander stated with a smirk "Uh- What?" he pulled me aside from Buffy and Willow "See, we've known each other for so long... I feel like we have this chemistry that no one understands, it seems to me you've been single for years which... makes no sense to me, out of all the girls in our class you're the hottest and that's saying something." he looked over at Buffy "Xander, shut up." I muttered feeling the ick "Y/N, would you like to dance with me? Actually I'm not taking a no, come with me." he grabbed my wrist forcefully, I felt my vampire instinct want to throw him but I used self control "Oh, Y/N's gonna dance with Xander? I guess tonight is full of surprises, I could've sworn she had a boyfriend." Buffy joked. I sighed being dragged to the floor where everyone swayed to the music, he put his hands on my hips smiling at me despite our height difference quite small "I've always wanted you Y/N." "Xander, I don't feel the same way." I raised my voice, he chuckled "See, that doesn't sit right with me..." "I barely acknowledge you! Even at school." he sighed wrapping his arm around the small of my back "You always noticed me." "I was only being nice." "That's what I like about you." his face closer to mine ready for a kiss. I wanted to throw him across the room, that's when a fist flew across his face "Ow!" he shouted in unison with... Spike? I stepped back "What- What the fuck Spike?" his chip making it obvious, I couldn't save him from that "Spike?! What are you doing?" Willow and Buffy rushed over "What does it look like? Protecting my-..." he looked at me and I shook my head "Protecting Y/N, it's obvious she doesn't want Xander of all people." I giggled "I think Spike has a crush on her." Xander said holding his face "Smartest thing you've ever said." I mumbled "What is with you Spike? Always having a thing for humans." Buffy scoffed, I raised an eyebrow before storming off with my drink.

Buffy- I was jealous of Buffy but not enough to make a big mistake, I went to the Magic Box to hang out with Giles since he was more of a father figure to me than my own. I sighed expressing myself to him without shedding a tear, he did seem dismissive of me like he was hiding something. A beautiful woman walked up to me like I worked there "Hey handsome, I need these ingredients for... well you get it." my jaw kinda dropped at the unusual compliment "I uh- I don't work here..." "Oh! I just thought... since you were talking to the owner and all, I kind of overheard, that girlfriend of yours sounds like a piece of work." she giggled seductively, I was taken aback by the comment "Well... you don't really know her like I do, I think I'm just overthinking anyway." Giles watched the interaction subtly not liking what he was hearing from her end "If she's making you overthink things, maybe it isn't right for you." she smirked putting her hand on my muscly arm, I pulled away "No... no, you wouldn't understand." "I understand more than you think." I shook my head "Miss, if she heard or saw you talking to me like this... you'd be begging for your life." I smiled a toothy grin "She's not here though, here take my number, we can talk about it once you leave her, you seem too scared of her anyway." I scoffed being forced to take the paper, she went over to Giles getting her items winking at me and leaving the bell ringing after she left "You are seriously thinking of..." he gestured "Hell no! I'm lucky I'm even with Buffy, shit I was keeping it for you, maybe you'd want to call her." I laughed passing it over "No, home-wreckers are not my type." he threw it out, Buffy popped out from behind the counter with a smile tears in her eyes blushing "Y/N... I'm sorry I make you feel that way, do you think she's still outside?" my jaw dropped watching her run out of the store, I got a clear view out of the window seeing her spear the woman from behind to the ground "Good choice Y/N, you're a good man." I laughed "So are you." I shook his hand as we watched the woman plead for her life.
