Chap 6: Bad timing, Baby?

I lay on the bed staring up at the ceiling in boredom. Slade was out 'training' again with his tutors and I was stuck in the apartment with no entertainment. I need to make some new friends or something.

Slade and I have been living together or a month and a bit now. We're getting closer together as a couple each day and I have even come to accept the fact that Slade's Lycanthrope genes make him very dangerous and moody. I came to this acceptance when we were out grocery shopping one day and a group of pubescent males made suggestive remarks at me when Slade was grabbing something we forgot. His possessive nature can be a turn-on and a turn-off at times. Mostly a turn-on.

My phone suddenly buzzed from the bedside table and I slowly sat up testing my churning stomach out. I've been having an icky feeling for the last few hours like I have for the past few days and I really don't like throwing up. Slade's never around when it starts, thankfully, otherwise he'd emit me into the hospital faster than I can say 'I'm fine'.

Wanna meet for dinner at 6? Colt's out with the training thing, so Slade is there too. I'm boredL.

Tilly sent through to me and I smiled in amusement before texting back that I'll meet her there. I need a distraction from things. And now I'm craving ribs dripping in hot sauce. I quickly bathed to get rid of my sweat ans stink and pulled up a pair on new jeans and a singlet before covering up with a jacket. I checked myself over in the mirror in the bathroom before smiling in approval.

I sent a quick text to Slade telling him where I'll be so he didn't freak out when he arrived at the apartment and I wasn't there. I accidently went to meet mum at a cafe one day when Slade was out and when he arrived back at the apartment he nearly tore the place apart. Not a sight you want to see when you drive up to the apartment and a furious, yellow-eyed, insane looking wolf-man jumps down from the balcony nearly on top of you.

As I crossed the street to the restaurant, I smiled widely seeing someone else with Tilly out the front. Archer.

And Tilly was ripping into him.

"I didn't think you were in town." I commented happily as I skipped up to the pair and they both turned towards me with smiles. Tilly's was forced while Archer seemed genuinely happy to see me.

"Surprise!" Archer cheered in excitement as he bounded to my side and dropped his arm over my shoulders. "I couldn't pass up the opportunity to catch up with my two besties when I noticed Tea-Pot here." Archer informed me mischievously as he pinched Tilly's cheeks and winked at her when she slapped his hand away aggressively.

"You are so not welcomed here, pal." Tilly snapped at him angrily before turning sharply on her heels and storming inside. I've never seen her this angry before.

"Well, at least someone was happy to see me." Archer muttered bitterly under his breath as we watched her fume in her seat. "I like you best." Archer whispered out of the corner of his mouth and I giggled at him watching him scurry inside and over to Tilly. They were friends before I came into the picture.

When I took a seat at the table with them, Archer was pouting across from Tilly and occasionally nudging her with his foot to get any reaction from her. She acted like he didn't exist.

"So, what have you been up to lately, Pipes?" Archer eventually asked me with an annoyed glare aimed at Tilly. I was a bit surprised by her cold-shoulder as well. Tilly took his disappearance the hardest and waited for weeks for him to come back before someone told her he moved away. She got angry after that, but missed him every day.

But now, you wouldn't think that watching her -she actually seemed to loath the fact he was here. I could understand a bit of anger for not telling her -like I felt- but it wasn't his fault.
