"Are you sure everything is sorted?" I asked Paige nervously out on the porch where we were drinking tea together. She peered over the top of her sunglasses at me with a dull look and I laughed over at her in amusement.

"We went through it just an hour ago, Piper." Paige murmured to me unimpressed and I rolled my eyes at her leaning back in my seat closing my eyes trying to relax.

Paige and I have set up a surprise for Slade for his birthday. I had to find out through Lucy three days ago that his birthday was today and frantically rushed to create something for him.

Slade was becoming suspicious at my long disappearances and secret behaviour -which isn't very secret since I can't hide things from him very well. The first night we began planning for today Slade casually asked me how my day was and I ran screaming out of the room that he'll never know the truth.

Yeah, he's been on my case ever since.

Thankfully, someone is usually around us when he tries asking what I'm up to and they shift the conversation.

But, that isn't helping our case.

Currently I dumped Donny on Slade to look after for today so we can finish the last preparation things. He was slightly inconvenienced since he has paperwork to do, but with no one else available to look after Donny, he has no choice.

I've heard Donny yelling for Slade's attention several times throughout today.

And each time it happens Slade sends his disgruntled feelings through to me. I laugh it off.

"How's the search for Tilly and Kaden going?" Terri's voice spoke curiously behind Paige and I and we both turned to face her in surprise. Terri has been gone for a few days now visiting a family member in another pack -Archer has been pining for her the entire time.

"Did you come see us first?" Paige asked Terri with a growing grin on her face and Terri frowned in confusion nodding in confirmation as she dropped in the seat on my other side.

Terri and I have become really close friends since she's fully recovered from the curse Tilly placed on her and I couldn't be happier. She's very artistic and loves Archer so much. And she fits in extremely well with Paige and my antics and has been known to be a part of our troublemaking.

Which is mostly just Paige picking on the boys while we encourage her, or giving them heart attacks thinking they've hurt us -physically or emotionally. We need to get our amusement from something.

"I win!" Paige cried victoriously throwing her fists in the air and I gave a startled bark of laughter staring at her in surprise. She mentioned betting against Archer about who Terri will see first -she never mentioned what was on the line or what she bet for.

"Won what?" Terri asked her in amusement tilting her head to the side and I folded my arms smugly leaning back in my seat waiting for Paige to explain it to her. Terri gets so flustered and angry when they do things like this.

"Oh, um...a bet." Paige mumbled under her breath looking everywhere but at Terri who had her eyes narrowed suspiciously now.

"A bet on what?" She asked slowly staring intensely at Paige who squirmed under her scrutiny.

"Who you'd see first. No biggie." Paige tried brushing aside dismissively but Terri growled in warning and sat up straight pinning Paige in place. She's quite intimidating when she wants to be.
