Mandy:
I could barely see anything in front of me as I searched desperately for my phone. Slade's snarls and growls in the other room weren't exactly helping, but what was truly making the task difficult was the knowledge my daughter is at the mercy of soulless creatures that wish her unimaginable pain and she's more than likely already given birth to her son. It's not something any mother would wish upon her worst enemy.
Gods, I wish it was just one horrible, messed up dream.
When I eventually found my phone (it had fallen under my bed), I hurried back to the living room and glanced over at Slade once again.
He's in so much pain.
His Beast has partially broken through Slade's hold over him and now he's nearly shifted. But his Beast's form is completely different to his Lycan form. This one is an unstoppable, blood lusting, destructive wall off impenetrable skin with one thing on its mind: Piper.
Anything and anyone in its way will meet its end.
No pressure.
My fingers shakily pressed the numbers I swore I never would again. The Lycans in front of me watched me closely as I brought it up to my ear.
She's my only hope to save myself and my daughter before I use Black Magic.
Please have the same number. Please have the same number. Answer. Answer me. I begged in my mind like our bond wasn't closed off from both ends and I bit my lip nervously. Just as I was about to hang up laughter from that end filled my ear.
"Hello, Ivy speaking." Her sweet voice chimed through the phone and I let out a shaky breath holding my hand to my chest.
"Ivy." I whispered softly and her laughter cut off instantly as she excused herself from her setting.
"Who is this?" Ivy asked me sharply as silence filled her end now and I closed my eyes tightly to gather courage.
"You know who I am." I told her evenly locking eyes with Slade once again when he turned towards me. His eyes were completely black. Emotionless. Raging. Deadly.
I am doing this from him and my daughter. I whispered in my mind determinedly seeing the pain and desperation lurking just behind his eyes. He's so close to loosing himself to the Beast I can't actually believe he's held off for this long.
"Mandy?" Ivy asked me in timid fear and I swallowed thickly at her tone. "Why are you calling me?" She suddenly asked me sharply and I frowned in confusion about her reception of me.
"What, that's all you have to say to me?" I shot back at her angrily and Ivy fell silent for a moment before clearing her throat.
"Right, my apologies." She said sweetly to me and my eyes narrowed at her sarcastic tone. "How's life in exile, sister?" Ivy shot at me harshly and I heard a few Lycans suck in sharp breaths while my eyes narrowed. The blown lights around us flickered with my anger before I took a controlled breath. I can't loose my cool now.
"Peaceful. No one tells me how to live my life any more. You should try it sometime, little sister." I mocked her in return lifting my head up proudly though my heart hurt at her words to me. She never acted like this before.
"Mm, but yet, with a coven I have more power than-"
"You know damn well, little sister, that even in exile my power is greater than the coven's combined." I taunted her in boredom and heard Ivy's jaw snap shut instantly at the truth. It's why mum was so pissed about what happened. Why the coven bound my powers until I either repent –never going to happen- or dabble in Black Magic.
