After the wedding, the reception began. Devon and I set at our royal theme like throne, overlooking our guests and family. It was bustling with noise, chatter and laughter. The catering was something straight out of a movie. Lights, chandeliers, and a big palace like venue. This was more than I had dreamt of, more than I could ever fantasise about.

This is was my happy ending. No more lies, no more pain, no more heartbreak.

Just Devon and I against the world. My love and I.
I loved Devon more than I could express, he was my everything, my knight in shining amour. He did completely break me once, and left me in pieces but he came back and made amends, tortured himself just to be with me. He had loved from the beginning, had fought for me , had waited years for me.

I love him so much.

Devon held my hand gently and placed a soft kiss.
"Mi amor, this—this is the life I dreamt about every single I was with you and now, now it's all come to life. I am truly the luckiest man alive. Ti amo amore mio", his eyes held back tears. I smiled, slowly lifting my hand to his face and wiping away his tears with my thumb.

This was my first time seeing Devon really cry in front of me, with nothing holding him back. He may have appeared unbreakable from the outside but from within him I could see that little boy who lost his father, blamed himself and fought for a love that was never truly his.

He was still that broken man who tried to be strong for others but him.

"I love you more than you can ever know, Devon.", I gently rested my head against his arm, breathing in that familiar scent of him.

The speeches began, and one by one they came congratulating us and cracking jokes. Then it was finally my turn. I went up to the stage and took the mic confidence. I heard a few whistles and cheering from the crowd and Conilliouse screaming, "That's my baby!"

I took a deep breath and fixed my dress.
"Um... hi—hey", I chuckled nervously then continued, "I'll try to make this as short as possible. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for coming and celebrating one of my happiest day with me. This all feels like a dream come true.", I let out a shaky breath then continued. "Ever since I was a child, I haven't felt true love, not even from my own mother but I accepted all of it until I met someone who I thought would change me but he caused me even more pain. I thought it was the end of it then I met my other half... Devon. He showed me how dangerous love was and how thrilling it could also be . He loved me in ways I never knew a person could love, he showed me life through a different perspective, in fact—through a lot of perspectives.", I chucked, so did everyone, sensing that it was a sex joke.

"He then brought me to his lovely family. His family took me like I was their own, never judging me or discouraging me in any way. They loved me through my beautiful and my worst, never leaving me. I truly felt like the luckiest girl in the world to receive the love that I never got while growing up. So, I want to thank you all, the Marcinos, the Cartiaz, and my dad, for always being there for me and showing me what true love and affection really is.", tears fell from my eyes as the crowd cheered. Ben came up to me and hugged me, so did Darria, Conillious and Danzel.

I walked off the stage, Devon was waiting for me by our chairs, with his arms open. I embraced him tightly, crying into his chest. He pulled back then cupped my face with his hands, gently gazing into my tear streaked eyes.
