weak.
bound feet.
pink fabric around our eyes
keep me from the outside.
hook me to your arm before
I venture out into your world.
put the crib in the kitchen
lock the door.
make me fight for my rights
it truly is "all men are created equal"
isn't it?
I'm a flaw in evolution.
put me on a pedestal
and stare with your red eyes.
strip me of my adolescence
and call me a whore.
I apologize for being a bother
I will not break your rules again
I will succumb to you.
how much freedom
will you allow me today?
what shall I do for you.
I do for you while
I let myself die.
yet who cares what I say
I'm voiceless,
invisible.
get me back inside my cage.
after all,
I'm just a girl.
