a man with a dream,
pleading for peace.
possession free world.
banish heaven and hell
from our minds filled with greed.
a man,
simply a dreamer.
he simply wanted peace,
but the world was not ready
for such an idea.
he told me
to live for today.
it isn't hard to picture
his dream.
banish religion,
banish walls.
and he knew he wasn't alone,
he knew we would join him,
he knew we could live as one.
but we were not ready,
and a bullet told him
this dreadful news.
but it did not silence him,
it did not stop us,
because nothing can silence dreamers.

Today marks the 35th anniversary of the day we lost John Winston Lennon. He was an angel taken from us too early, and everyday I regret not being alive when he was. Rest in peace John, we miss you.
