How many times did the world spin in circles before it grew tired of seeing the same lonely view over and over? Did it spin in hope? Thought? Brown strands were brushed from heavy eyes that were glancing downward in a deep thought. Jamie knew that when he thought too deeply he ended up just depressing himself. It happened to everyone.. after all, its hard to think too much about things like life without realizing that everything overall doesnt serve much purpose. The boy had been growing more and more thoughtful lately.. after all, without school to distract, it was getting harder to keep his head focused on the entertaining things, his friends, the laughs they had.. sure it was fun while it was happening but afterwards, there was nothing. He didn't like it for sure. When Jamie used to look at life it was all smiles, relaxing and happiness, laughing and playing, new wonders around every corner. The good always outdid the bad.. Pitch was ruining him wasn't he? The nightmares didn't ever go away and even during the day the fear of being completely forgotten ate at him with nothing urging it on.. nothing but the king of nightmares himself. Jamie had seen it that night months before and he still hadn't seen Jack. The anger was gone, he still regretted being mad at his newer friend. After all, it wasn't like he was by himself. His mother loved him, Sophie adored him and, although she could be annoying sometimes, they didn't fight. He had his dog, his friends were all there too, just the same as before. But... where had all the hope gone? He had a deep worry in him that he had maybe matured, grown older than the happiness, starting transforming into the stressful form of an adult early.. but that couldn't have been true. Its just the nightmares. Don't let Pitch take over you, remember? Jack's out there fighting him. Stay strong and fight as well. His concious was right, he couldn't just give in to fear and worry like that, he had to keep smiling even though he really didn't feel or want to. But...

The boy looked up at the starry skies, the grey clouds dull and lifeless compared to the light the moon reflected onto the deep blue of space. His mother had started to grow worried, his friends would do the same soon if he didn't pick himself up. Jamie wanted to be like Jack.. he was so strong, so fearless, so... happy it seemed. His smile was so bright and so full of life, it was almost impossible to forget. Even Cupcake joined his and his friend's conversations, they all missed the snow spirit. Jamie didn't explain to them that Pitch Black had returned. The fox spirit (he had forgotten her name if he had ever learned it at all), was so hurt, physically wounded so badly she nearly died. This wasn't just nightmares anymore and Jamie was lucky to get that side of the attack.. but telling them that something like that was wrong, that the king of nightmares was even more of a danger, would either provoke worry in them or give them false confidence that they could all just get together and take him down so easily like before... it wouldn't be like that at all would it? Sometimes he wondered if Jack were even alright. He had awoken to a snowday that had came from nowhere in the early autumn (Sorry if i'm a little skippy with the time. Like if in the last chapter I said it was march and in this one I said it was september, dont get confused or anything @.@'' I just sort of suck at remembering those things ^^' Read on) and ran outside, racing faster with the burst of excitement that came with such a suprise, to have found that Jack wrote him a note in the snow.. he was alright, he would visit soon. But how soon was soon for someone immortal?

That night, the growing boy snuck in silence down the stairs, skipping over the creaks he had memorized in the floor, running out to sit on the patio. The night was cold but quiet, good for thinking. He remembered back to that note, having kept every word hopefully locked into his mind before the wind and uncaring footsteps trampled the letters away. Brown eyes blinked up hopefully to the moon. "Come back soon... okay?" He gave a smile, a confident smile, a real one. "And... and I'll be waiting for you here when you do! And so will everyone else, we all miss you Jack! And.. I'm really thankful for you. For everything! So.. take all the time you need. Its alright. I understand."

The light chocolate eyes blinked in surprise as there was a motion from behind him, his heart racing up suddenly at the thought of it being Pitch. That thought was replaced, it was probably his mom wondering why he was still awake and outside past bedtime and in the cold... but when he turned around, he couldn't believe the person he saw.

"I missed you too, kiddo." Pale cheeks were raised in the smile of the figure he saw as an older brother even after so short of a time, his bare feet hadn't even made a creak on the porch, and he was leaned against the wall, his wooden staff in hand at his side. "Jack!!!" He shouted, unable to help it as he darted to standing and rushed to hug the spirit. "Jack, you're here!" The snow haired male laughed and leaned down, wrapping his arms around the boy. "Not too loud! Don't want to wake your mom up to walk out and see you hugging the air," he joked but meant all kindness in it.. Jack had missed the boy dearly as well, had wanted to see him for a while and now got the full oppertunity to. "But you're not air, you're really here!"

"She doesn't know that. She cant see me remember? Unless I got a new fan," Jack smirked, Jamie just laughed and shook his head. Why was he so happy? It was like when Jack appeared, Pitch couldn't break in. The fear had rushed out, anxiety vanished, floating right out of his mind like it never was rooted there before. "I'm so glad you're here," he smiled.

"Me too, kid... me too."

((Short chapter, I know, plus it's such a late update I should've made up for it with a really long one :s I've sort of realized over the past couple chapters that Jamie was pretty much forgotten in this story. Thought it would be better to clarify what had been going on with him, give it a happy moment. I can't promise that i'll update much for a little while, I'm really caught up in school and some things and my head's been a little dead ^^' But i'm still really happy with this story. Thank you for reading and for your patience with my horrible updating schedual. And as always, have a good night. Review if you'd like, only star if you think it's worth it, ect. ^^ Thank you.))

Another thing to add... Rest in Peace to those who died in Boston and God bless to those who were injured, family of dead or injured, and anyone who had to go through that experience. I hope life lifts a smile to you all in the near future.
