"Michael?!" I yelled out, panic taking over my thoughts.
"Mia, calm down," Luke says softly, putting his hand on my arm. "I'm sure he's fine."
"But what if he isn't?" I pointed out, now becoming frantic. "He could have fallen off the train when he tried to jump off... He could be dead!"
"Please calm down Mia," Ashton whispers. "He's okay, I promise."
Tears started to prickle in the corners of my eyes. "How do you know that?"
"Because I just texted him," Calum answers with ease.
"You did?" I sighed in relief. "Where is he?"
Calum half-smiled at me. "I actually lied, he isn't answering any of my texts. I was just trying to make you feel better."
"Calum!" I shrieked. He certainly wasn't making things better.
"This isn't any time for games, bro," Luke groaned. "Mikey could be in serious danger."
I gasped at Luke. "You just told me he was fine!"
"Fuck," he muttered.
I didn't seem to be thinking anymore. My emotions were now wild; I was feeling them all at once. I was hysterical and worried and angry and I just couldn't find myself to be calm. Michael was gone and I wasn't sure if he was okay.
And I realize that when he's not with me, I'm usually a mess.
"We have to go find him!" I shouted and prepared myself to jump off the moving train.
"Mia!" Ashton yelps and crawls over to hold me down before I could even move.
"Let go!" I cried as I tried to push him off me.
"We don't want you getting hurt," he says, keeping his grip tight on me. "It's dark outside and you wouldn't be able to see where you're going."
"Michael..." I whimpered.
"You've got quite a hold on her," Calum comments at Ashton. "The advantages of being a drummer."
"Mia, we'll just wait for the train to slow down a bit and when it's safe to jump," Luke tells me. "Then we'll look for him."
"Why aren't you guys worried for him?" I asked, glaring at all of them with my tear-filled eyes. "He's your best friend and band mate!"
"We're worried too, but we're hiding it to keep you calm," Calum replies.
"Just relax," Ashton says. "We'll find him soon."
I sigh and stay quiet, letting a few tears fall astray on my cheeks. The train soon makes its way near the Eiffel Tower, and that's when Calum speaks up, "Let's jump out now."
"Are you sure?" I asked, wiping away a few tears. I missed Michael.
"Yes," Ashton confirms, still holding me. His comfort just didn't have the same warmth as Michael's, though I appreciated it.
"Let's go," Luke says and he's the first one to leap out.
I follow him, eager to get off the train in search of my boyfriend. Once we've all safely landed on the ground, I began running in a random direction while yelling Michael's name out repeatedly.
"Mia!" Ashton shouts after me.
Calum runs forward and grabs my arm, dragging me along with the other boys. I pouted, "Why don't we just go separate ways to find him?"
"Because it's not safe," Calum mumbles, glancing down at me. "Plus there's one place we want to check."
"Fine," I groaned.
