We had to wake up at seven in the morning in order to catch our flight, leaving us only about five hours of sleep. Michael and I rushed to pack our bags, though we got a bit distracted... by our lips.
"Would you fuckers stop making out, we're gonna be late to our flight," Calum groans from outside the bedroom door.
I pull away from Michael and he pouts. "He's right, we wouldn't want to be late."
Michael smirks, gripping my waist. "I don't mind staying in France a few extra nights. I'll even 'accidentally' lose my passport."
I rolled my eyes. "I'm sure you've done that before. But come on, we have to go back to Australia sooner or later."
That last sentence was an encouragement for me more than for him. I was kind dreading going back there, knowing what could be awaiting for me. The Fangirls are probably still on a search for me, and once I arrive they'll find me. I really don't want to be found, considering how close I've gotten to the boys.
Michael sighs. "Fine."
I grabbed the suitcase that laid on the bed and made my way to the door. "Come on kitten, let's go home."
"Wait," he says, and I turn around to see him looking at me wide-eyed.
"What?" I ask, raising my eyebrows.
"You called it home," he said softly, smiling. "You called the 5 Seconds of Summer house... home."
I grinned. "Yeah, I guess I did."
"Does it feel like home?" he asks, taking a step closer to me.
"It does," I said. "But home isn't the location, it's the people who you love. You guys are my home."
Michael runs over to me, taking me in his arms and lifting me up. "I'm glad to be your home."
-
"Australia!" Luke shouts as soon as we exit the airport. "I missed you, baby!"
Ashton glares at him. "Scream it louder, doofus, you're gonna attract fans and we can't be seen with Mia."
I placed my hands on my hips. "Are you embarrassed of me?"
"Clearly," Calum teases.
"I didn't mean to say it like that," Ashton says.
"We just don't want you hurt," Michael smiles and boops my nose.
The car pulls up and Ashton goes to get into the drivers' seat. Calum takes the passenger while the rest of us sit in the back, and all of are luggage is loaded in the trunk. I already feel the jet lag coming on strong.
"So what do you guys plan to do as soon as we get back home?" I asked and Michael grins.
"Finish up the album," Luke answers. "We've got to write a bonus track, which we haven't on started yet."
"Ah." I nodded, looking out the window. It was bright and sunny and it surprisingly wasn't too cold.
Soon we arrive at the house, but something is different. We pull up the driveway and my eyes widened; the front door is wide open.
"Guys..." I mutter, fearing the worst.
"Fuck," Calum curses under his breath.
We get out quickly and Ashton runs over to the door. "I'm going to investigate!" he yells, then goes inside.
"I'll go with him," Calum says and runs after him.
"I should go too," I say and move to go inside but Michael stops me.
