For what it was worth, the day had been fine. Except Heath. The kid still wouldn't leave me alone, no matter how many times I reject him. It was beginning to get on my nerves. I got my bag from my locker, slinging it over my shoulder. My whole body shook as Heath's hands grabbed my shoulder. I slammed my locker door closed, sharply turning around to face him. A smile crossed his face as he stared at me.

"Hey, hot stuff. You. Me. Dance. This weekend." I grabbed his hands, pulling them off of my shoulders and dropping them at his sides. I followed his gaze to realize he was staring at my chest. I quickly crossed my arms, causing him to actually make eye contact with me.

"I don't take orders, Burns. I'm leaving," I said firmly. He got closer to me, the smell of his cologne suddenly was all that I could smell, he was that close. He placed his hands on either side of me, holding me where I was. I backed up into the lockers, only trapping myself more than I was beforehand.

"Not even kidding, Draculaura. We will dominate at this dance. You and me," he said, leaning closer to me. I turned my head to the side.

"I don't dance, Burns."

"I've seen you dance. Don't lie to me."

"I don't dance with you. Back off!" I exclaimed, bringing my knee up to his groin. He brought his hands down from the lockers, as he kneeled on the floor, his face twisted in pain. A slight smile crossed my face as I walked away. But, of course, I got away to easy. He caught up with me right before I reached the door, blocking my path.

"Just let me leave, Heath. I want to go home," I said through clenched teeth. I was tempted to bite him. If only I wasn't vegetarian.

"Just agree to go to the dance with me and I'll let you leave. It's that simple. That's all I'm asking from you, small one," he said with a smile. I saw Clawd out of the corner of my eye. He walked up next to Heath and grabbed his shoulder, pulling him to the side with such a force that he hit the lockers.

"Leave her alone, will ya? For just a couple of hours, let her have some peace. Do you have no respect?" Clawd looked down at me and smiled. He stuck out his hand for a fist bump. He opened the door for me, keeping his eyes on Heath up until the door closing cut off any view of him.

"Sorry he bothered you that long. I was upstairs," Clawd said. I looked up at him and shook my head slightly.

"It's fine. I'm not your problem. You don't have to look after me."

"Yeah, well, you being friends with Clawdeen and all, I feel like I should have to take care of you," he said, his hand rubbing at the back of his neck, a sign of nervousness.

"I appreciate that, Clawd," I said as I reached my doorstep. I waved to him before I shut the door. I hadn't even realized he had been walking me home. My back was pressed against the door as I slid down to the floor, my arms crossed over the books that were pressed to my chest. It was at that moment that I realized I was falling in love with my best friend's brother.
