"So, I was talking to my mom about hanging out with you; well, she was talking to me about me hanging out with you, but, whatever. Anyways, I was wondering if you wanted to go out? Like, um, dating?" I held back a giggle from how much he stumbled over words.

"I would love to," he stopped walking and knelt down in front of me.

"You wouldn't imagine how much my mom likes you. I mean, she almost told me to date you. I think you got her with the dishes deal this morning," I laughed and threw my arms around him. He wrapped his arms around my waist and stood up, bringing me up with him. I had never been picked up like that before. Maybe when I was human, but I don't remember it. I didn't even remember my human life. I pretty much had tried to block it all out. I knew about my mother and what had happened, my father brought it up every time I was being stubborn or difficult. Clawd shifted me to his back and put my arms around his neck. I wrapped my legs around his waist and he ran forward. Even though I was a vampire, I had never moved that fast.

"When does your dad want you home?" He said it in a normal-toned voice. He didn't have to yell above the wind that should of been made by be movement because there was no wind that day. It was kind of nice. That, and there were enough clouds blocking the sun that it kind of just looked like it was early in the morning. Early as in the sun rise.

"I think around three or so. He just wants me home for supper."

"Alright. Wanna go to the park?"

"Duh!" Clawd laughed and picked up his pace, moving even faster than he had been originally. "You know, breakfast was really nice. Thanks for including me in your family conversation and what not."

"It was really no big deal. My whole family loves you, even the ones who just met you today. They've all heard so much about you. All good things, too. Clawdeen thinks pretty highly of you, so, that's how my family thinks of you, too. It's kind of nice it have someone to put in a good word for you, isn't it?"

"Well, I guess I should thank Clawdeen for that, then, shouldn't I?" Clawd stopped running so fast, causing me to experience some slight whiplash.

"I'm sorry," he whispered. I brought one of my hands up to my neck and rubbed at the pain in it. I looked forward, following Clawd's gaze.

"Van Hellscream," I whispered. The famous Van Hellscream walked slowly on the sidewalk, looking into houses as he walked. He was famous everywhere, in the normie part of town and in mine. He wasn't famous for some groundbreaking research, or anything good like that. Once you crossed the border and were in the town full of monsters, you knew who Hellscream was. What was he known for? He was a famous monster hunter. He would capture a few of us at a time and leave. He figured that no one would notice if a monster dissapearred here and there. I noticed. One guy made it back from Hellscream, lived to tell his story. He told me his whole story. From what I heard, the man experiments on you like a scientist would a lab rat. Trying out his own little potions and spells, checking its effects on you. Then, he was done with you. Once you were worn down and had no strength left, he was done with you. You were absolutely worthless to him.

"We're just going to turn around and leave. Alright?" Clawd said, walking into the little forest next to the park. He got down on his knees and I got off of his back. He grabbed my hand and ran. For the first couple feet, he was basically dragging me next to him as it took me a couple seconds for my mind to catch up on what was happening. We ended up at his house, running through the doorway and stopping in the dining room. He sunk down to the floor, his back pressed against the door. Him and I were both panting, exhausted front the five mile run.

"What's wrong, Clawd? You look like you saw a ghost," Clawd silently looked up at his mom and then back at the floor.

"Van Hellscream. We saw Hellscream," I whispered, grabbing Clawd's hand. Harriet looked at me then at Clawd.

"Clawrk!" Clawrk ran into the room, stopping at the sight of Clawd sitting on the floor, a look of terror on his face.

"They saw Van Hellscream, Clawrk. He's back and my baby saw him," I was honestly confused. I knew that all the monsters knew about Hellscream, I knew that we were all scared of him to an extent. But, this was a little over the top. Clawd looked up at me and pulled me down to his side. He cupped his hand around my ear and took a deep breath.

"Hellscream took my brother. He was only about a year old at that point. He took him a couple days after I was born. Took him from my own backyard."

"I know you're gunna find this irrelevant, but, how old would he be at this point?" He gave a look of pain and confusion.

"Eighteen. Why does that matter?"I stood up, and placed my hand on his cheek.

"I'll be back real soon. I promise," I lightly kissed his forehead and opened the door a crack, only giving myself enough room to slip outside. I took off running. After twenty minutes of running, I began to get tired. I only had two things on my mind right now, one of them being the fact that I was running like the chick at the end if the What Hurts the Most music video. The other one was that I knew where the missing member of their family was. He lived in a little cabin out in the middle of the woods almost fifteen miles away from here.

Durning the twenty minutes of running, I had run almost six miles. In about thirty more minutes, I would be at his house. The house of the lost Wolf member. The house of Dougey.
