After a lazy Sunday and Monday full of work, Eren made his way to the Survey Corps Cafe to spend his spare time with Levi. Eren would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy it. Levi would be lying if he said that Eren being at the coffee shop after school wasn't the high of his day.

"Hey, Levi." Eren said as he passed by and sat as his regular table.

"Brat." The shorter offered a half-assed reply but it was enough for Eren.

"Doing homework today?" He continued.

Eren shook his head. "Nah, Mr.Al is sick."

"So, you had a substitute?"

"No." Eren replied before asking Levi for his regular coffee. "He was sick because he didn't give us homework." Levi chuckled a bit before handing Eren his coffee.

"What about you?"

Levi shrugged. "Nothing interesting happens in here. People come and leave, that's it." Eren said its sounded boring, Levi agreed.

While Levi was turned around making a cappuccino for the young business man, a short woman spoke up.

"I'll have un petit café, Levi." Eren watched how the older tensed and stopped everything he was doing. Levi turned around quicker than Eren thought possible without cracking a bone or pulling a muscle.

"Isabel." Levi whispered before diving towards the girl. He hugged her like she might disappear at any moment. Eren felt a pang at his stomach. He had never seen Levi hug anybody. Ever.

The red haired girl with pig tails chuckled and hugged Levi back. He seemed to hug her tighter. The pang was harder this time. It hurt Eren a bit. He tried to ignore them and drank his coffee in silence.

"Oh my god." Levi said after he pulled away from the girl known as Isabel.

"I thought you were dead. I'm sorry I left you guys in France, I really thought you guys were dead. Speaking of which, where's Farlan?" Oh so there's another one, Eren bitterly thought. He didn't like the sudden anger in his veins but he couldn't help it.

"Farlan's great, he's coming by in a few. And don't blame yourself, Levi. We thought you were dead too." Isabel explained. Eren noticed she was wearing driving gloves. He found it odd, wearing gloves in a coffee shop.

After a minute of them speaking about being dead, Levi finally noticed Eren.

"Oh, Iz," And nicknames too, how nice, Eren sarcastically thought. "This is Eren. He's a close friend of mine." Eren's mood was suddenly lifted when he heard Levi say "close friend". Eren smiled widely and greeted the short red-head.

"Oh, hi!" Isabel also smiled and turned towards Eren. " I thought you were just a costumer. My apologies. Nice to meet you. I'm Isabel, Levi's childhood friend."

"Nice to meet you, too." Isabel must have been a psychic because she immediately started explaining everything.

"You must be confused. France was a very dangerous place where we used to live. Not only dangerous but nasty." Levi scrunched up his nose in disgust and muttered, "Don't remind me."

Isabel seemed to be very interested in Eren because she encouraged them to sit down and interrogate him. She asked him questions about him, his family, his school. She asked him pretty much everything. Eren politely answered all of them.

"You know," Eren knew she was going to begin another question despite Levi's protests. "Levi isn't very good at making friends. How did you two meet? Tell me everything." Both males visibly tensed. Eren shot Levi a look, asking wether to lie or tell the truth. Levi shook his head as the answer. The silent conversation between the two confused Isabel.

"Um, we met at Titan Bridge. It was dark and we bumped into each other. Turns out, he worked at the coffee shop close to my school. I came here everyday and Levi had no choice but speaking to me since I bothered him so much." Eren grinned and didn't miss Levi whispering "Brat."

"That's so cute!" That was the last thing he heard before he excused himself to go throw away his coffee cup. Eren missed the tall blond haired boy walk into the coffee shop and directly to their table. He also missed how the blond boy kissed Isabel in the lips and on her forehead. What he saw was him seeing Levi and giving him a bro-hug. Eren's pangs to the stomach were getting harder by the second.

He quietly walked back to the table and went through the greetings all over again. He learned that the blond boy was Farlan. He remembered that the name was mentioned after Levi and Isabel had hugged. Just imagining that, sent yet another painful feeling at Eren. He didn't know why but when he saw Levi interact with he just felt sad. Very sad. He didn't feel special at all.

Eren knew Levi didn't have many friends so when he became Levi's friend he felt special. He knew Levi's other friends were only Erwin and Hanji and they were pretty old, not to mention they are dating (Hanji just can't keep secrets). But Isabel and Farlan were a bit closer to Levi's age and had spent many more years with him than Erwin or Hanji had, so Eren didn't stand a chance. So naturally, he felt sad and...jealous. Eren felt jealous that he wasn't as close to Levi as Isabel and Farlan were. His jealousy was aimed more towards Isabel since he saw that she and Levi seem to have a special bond.

Eren only snapped out of his thoughts when he saw Levi put his hand though Isabels hair. Eren looked at the floor sadly before deciding he couldn't just sit there and take all of the pain when he could easily walk away from it.

"Um, Levi, I have to go. Mikasa will be expecting me and you know how she gets." Eren rushed to get his bags and say goodbye.

Levi scrunched up his eyebrows. "But its only like 4 o'clock, she doesn't leave work into later at night."

Eren silently cursed for telling Levi all about him. "She leaves early on Wednesdays." This time Levi knew Eren was just trying to get away as soon as possible.

"Eren, today is Monday." Levi countered.

The younger froze for a second before regaining his posture. "On Mondays, too." Eren threw his book bag over his shoulder, ready to dash out of there.

"It was great meeting you, Isabel and Farlan. It was my pleasure." He forced a smile and left. As soon as he was a good block away from the coffee shop he found out he could breathe properly. He walked home in silence.

Meanwhile at the coffee shop, Levi felt...sad. Eren had forgotten to say goodbye to Levi. Everyday he would say bye. Everyday. Something must have happened but Levi just didn't know what. He was a bit worried for the younger.

After Eren left abruptly, Levi's mind wasn't completely into their conversation. All he remembers is that tomorrow he, Hanji, Erwin, Isabel and Farlan will hang out, a bit like the old times. Levi was certain Eren will be at the coffee shop tomorrow too so Levi was a bit excited. All of his friends will be together at once. Levi tried not to let his worry for Eren get to him and just thought about how good tomorrow will be.
