Eren walked into the school. He promised Hanji that he was going to get to school early in the morning to talk to her. He passed by the lockers with his hands in his pockets. Honestly, he was nervous. He had never been alone in a room with a teacher before and not to mention that this teacher is... different.

Eren finally reached the classroom. He was about to open the door when it flew open. Caught by surprise, Eren yelped and stepped back. He relaxed when he saw Hanji standing behind the doors. Hanji's face was stern like if she was talking to a child about stealing.

"C'mon Eren sit down." Hanji offered as she stepped aside and encouraged Eren to sit the fuck down. He nervously did as he was told and put his bookbag on the floor. Suddenly, the doors closed and Hanji was looking down at Eren with piercing eyes.

"Now, what do you think of Levi?" Eren was taken aback by the question.

"Aren't we here to talk about Marine Biology?" Eren asked. Did I miss something?, he thought.

"Oh my Dear, that was soooo yesterday. Now answer my question and be completely honest. Do you understand?" Eren nodded rapidly.

"W-well, I want to be Levi's friend. It is just that when I'm with him I feel like I can be who I really am. Like I don't have to hide anything about myself, I don't have to wear a mask with him. I feel like I can actually be me without being scared of what he would think because...because he understands me. He has felt what I've felt. But he doesn't want to be my friend." Eren's head turned to the side as he gazed at the floor.

Hanji's face softened as she spoke.

"No, no, sweetie. You have it all wrong. Levi does want to be your friend." Eren head turned to look at Hanji.

"If he wants to be my friend then why does he avoid me in the coffee shop? Why does he ignore me? Why does he pretend that I'm not there, that I don't exist? Why does he keep pushing me away? I try to tear all of those walls protecting his heart because I want him to trust me but he just keeps shutting me out. I don't know what to do, Hanji." Eren said. He was used to being invisible by many others in this school. For some unknown reason, everyone, except a small group of people, hates Eren, so being invisible wasn't new to him but something about being invisible to Levi hurt more.

"Then fight back. If he avoids you then follow him. If he ignores you then bother him. If he builds walls then you break them down. Eventually he will get tired."Hanji assured with a small smile.

"But what if I get tired?"

"You won't because it takes more energy to build walls than to tear them down. Take this in mind Eren, if you want to be friends with Levi you have to be the one to reach out because Levi will never do it. He doesn't like to accept that he likes you, that you guys understand each other. It's going to be hard to teach him that he can trust you, though."Hanji informed.

"It's ok. I never liked things easy anyway." Eren said as his eyes shined with determination. He will prove to Levi that he was trustworthy.

"Hey, Hanji? Why do you care about me being friends with Levi so much?" Her face seemed to get sad.

"Levi wasn't always so anti-social. I mean, he was intimidating and a little anti-social but not as much as he is now. He's denying that there is actually someone that cares. He believes that you'll hurt him just because of what happened to...you know its not my story to tell. But, since four months ago Levi hasn't been the same. He doesn't even bother to insult Erwin and I anymore, he doesn't say shit jokes anymore either. But Eren, I believe that you can bring him back, that you can set him free and tear down all of those walls.That's why I care." Hanji's face got sadder and sadder as she spoke.
