I was trapped in my room for most of the day, but, from hearing Jedrek’s and Lilia’s conversations, I learned that Raina was staying over one more night to make sure she was okay.  And, I knew that I freaked her out, and that I had to apologize to her… But the time would come for me to talk to her and tell her what happened with me.

And I had what would happen all planned out.

First: Once the binding thing wore off, I would sneak off to where she was sleeping.

Second: I would wake her up (if she was sleeping) and explain what I had come to a conclusion about.

Third: I would beg her to run away with me.

And, I really do hope she doesn’t think I am insane like my siblings do.  Nothing is wrong with me.  I’ve never felt better actually.  Kind of.

I never actually thought that it would come to this.  You know, running away so I don’t get killed by my own people.

And that vision I had after my brain so-called ‘snapped,’ revealed that I would be killed because there was no way to treat the certain Madness I had.

Man, I can’t believe that I’m giving up the throne to my own Kingdom.  What would everyone think about me…?  What would my parents think…?

I pushed that all aside because, right now, all that mattered to me was being with Raina.  I just hope she’d listen to me.

Hours passed.  It was now 10 o’clock, and I hoped that I would be able to sneak out.

As quietly as I could, I got off of my bed and tip-toed to the door.  I pressed my ear up against it and heard nothing.  No Jedrek, no Lilia, or anything.  Just the sound of my heart and breathing.

I turned the doorknob, and I was thankful that the door didn’t creak.  I checked down the hall before quietly making my way to the guest room.

“The Transporter should be here in the morning.”  I heard Lilia tell Jedrek.  I paused on the left side of her bedroom door.

“Do you really think we should send him off?  Just like that?”

“Jedrek,” Lilia said sternly, “they need him to study.  It’s rare, you know?  The type he has.”

            Jedrek was silent.  “I don’t want to see him go.  I-I don’t think it’s a good idea…”

“What?  Have you caught it too?!”  Lilia shouted.  “Do you honestly think that it’s safe for him to be around Raina?”

“Yes.”  Jedrek sighed.  I let out a quiet sigh of gratitude.  Maybe Jedrek was looking out for me after all…

“You just want the throne.”  Lilia growled.

“No!  That’s not true!  I just want Raina to be happy!”  Jedrek said defensively.

            “She isn’t even your mate!”

“Shut it, Lilia.  At least I found mine, even if I’m losing that connection!”

I felt the tension rise and the air felt almost suffocating.  What did he mean…?
