Chapter 37

Abhay's POV

My god she looks so sexy. Lying here, just for the taking.

I laid my body on top of hers, pinning her hands above her head.

She bit her lip and fluttered her eyelashes.

"Baby, you drive me crazy." I felt myself harden against her. I crashed my lips onto hers.

"Abhay?"

"Hm?" I asked kissing down her neck towards her lovely pair.

"Your phone." She said and then I realized my phone was ringing. She really makes me immune to the rest of the world.

"Ah forget it. " I started pulling up her tank top. Her magnificent breasts were ripe for the taking when my phone blasted through the room again.

"For fucks sake." I rolled my eyes.

"Just answer it, otherwise it won't stop."
She said and I begrudgingly did what she said.

Tina's POV

He looked at the caller ID and his eyes widened.

He got off me immediately and walked to the other side of the room.

"Now's not the greatest time." He mumbled. "I was supposed to be there next week. Now?" He looked at me and sighed. "Alright I'll see you soon." He said and cut the call.

He walked over to me.

"I'm sorry baby, something came up at work and I have to go. "

"Another monthly meeting?" I asked and his eyes widened for a second but then he calmed down.

"Yeah, something like that." He looked down. "I'll see you later okay?"

"Okay." He kissed me on the cheek and then left.

When he came back many hours later I was under the blanket watching Kindergarten Cop.

"Ugh. " He groaned when he sat down. "Can you turn that off?"

"You don't like Arnold Schwarzenegger?"

"It's those damn kids." He rolled his eyes.

"Whats wrong with them?" I raised an eyebrow.

"It doesn't matter. Just turn it off. I'm sick of hearing them screaming like that."

"I thought you went to an academic meeting, why were there kids there?"

"I was at an academic meeting." He gritted his teeth. "I just don't like the sound of screaming children in general."

"Don't you want kids some day?" I asked and his head snapped in my direction.

"Drop it Tina." His voice was cold.

"I was just asking." I shrugged. "Why are you getting so upset?"

"Because you're not dropping the fucking topic and you're not switching that damn movie off. It's driving me crazy." He huffed.

"Oh my God okay, there." I switched it off. "What's gotten into you?"

"Nothing. I need a drink." He stood up and went to the kitchen. I decided to not bother him further, he needed some time to cool off.

He was back to normal the next day. And we never brought up the topic again.

A week later I was walking through the mall doing some grocery shopping when i caught myself in the mirror. I looked...different.

I brushed it off and walked to the frozen food aisle. I saw the seafood section and laughed to myself, thinking about how Abhay and I both had food poisoning.

I went home and decided to make myself a cup of tea.

When I took out the milk I checked the expiration date and then happily poured myself a glass. Now that I think about it, I still hadn't fully recovered from drinking that expired milk not so long ago.

I opened my laptop and started doing some work. And email popped up, an ad for another cruise.

No way. I'm not getting sea sick any time soon.

I went to the bathroom and opened my cupboard, looking for some hand moisturizer when I saw something that caught my eye.

I reached for the box and stared at it.

It was a box of tampons.

It was full.

And yet...I hadn't used one in months...

An hour later I sat on the bathroom floor at home and bit my nails.

I heard Abhay's voice from the kitchen.

"Hey baby, you home?" He just arrived home.

"In the bathroom, I'll be out in a minute." I called. I checked my watch. "Or ten seconds." I said softly to myself.

I watched the clock tick, tick, tick.

And eventually time was up.

I held up the pregnancy test in my hand.

It was positive.

"Oh God." I whispered.

I'm pregnant.
