CHAPTER 14

The cab finally reached their dad's house.

I took my head off of Cams shoulder but before I could Hayes got out of the taxi and slammed the door.

Once Hayes was out I kissed cam on the cheek and we both got out.

"Sorry" I told cam.

He nodded and we all went to the door.

I tried to hold Hayes' hand but he moved it.

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

Hayes looked at me and before he Could say anything a woman and a man opened the door.

"HEYYYY!" Yelled the woman while hugging Nash and Hayes.

"Nice to see you again!" Said the man while hugging Nash and Hayes.

The woman and the man looked at me.

"Hi I'm nila Hayes and Nash's stepmom! And you are?" The women asked me.

"I'm Hazel it's nice to meet you."

"Oh you must be Cameron's girlfriend?" Said the man.

I looked at Hayes who looked so mad.

"She sure does act like it." Said Hayes.

I felt like crying.

"No sir," I said " I'm actually Hayes' girlfriend."

I'm trying so hard right now not to cry.

"Oh my bad I'm chad Hayes and nashs dad" the man said. "Do yall want to come inside!"

"Yeah" said Nash.

We all went inside and sat down on the couch.

The whole time Hayes wouldn't even look at me.

"So Hazel and Hayes yall live together?" Asked nila.

I was waiting for Hayes to answer but he didn't.

"Yes m'am" I said.

"And you knew Cameron before Hayes?" Asked chad.

"Yes sir" I said.

"So why aren't you dating cam?" Asked chad.

"I have been asked this question twice by Hayes parents" I said." And I want you to know that I don't love Cameron. Yes he is my best friend. And yes I did know him first but that doesn't mean Anything. I love Hayes. But obviously right now he doesn't feel the same way and he wants me to leave. If so, I will. But first can I please use your restroom?"

"Down the hall to the left" mumbled Hayes.

I got up and looked at him.

I walked to the bathroom and sat on the floor with my head down. I cried.

I heard the door opened and someone come in but I didn't look.

"Cam now is not the time." I said.

I looked up and it wasn't Cameron. It was Hayes.

I stopped crying

"I am about the leave." I said while standing up.

Before I could get to the door Hayes grabbed my hand.

"Don't." He said.

I looked at him and he kissed me.

We kissed for awhile.

We stopped and he stared at me and wiped my tears with his thumb.

"I'm sorry" he said.

"Me too" I whispered.

He kissed my forehead and we walked out of the restroom.

"There they are" said nila.

Hayes grabbed my hand.

"Nila, dad, this is my girlfriend Hazel" said Hayes.

I smiled and looked at Hayes.
