{two weeks later}
"Mom!" I yell running down the stairs.
"What's wrong?!"
"I haven't had my period in five weeks and I've been throwing up. A lot. I'm just worried that something's wrong. Can we go to the doctor?"
"Yeah, let me get my stuff."
We get into her car and drive to the hospital.
I'm hoping that I'm not pregnant because if I am... My mom would kill me. OH MY GOD ILL BE 14 AND PREGNANT
Ooooo someone call MTV we got a new show to film
But what if I really am prego?
No. Em you're not. If you believe you're not pregnant, you are not pregnant.
We arrive at the hospital and I nervously wait for the doctor to call me name.
"Emily linden?" A nurse ask and me and my mom stand up.
"Yes."
"Come with me." She lead us into an examining room.
"So what's the problem?" She asks.
"I haven't gotten my period for five weeks and I've been vomiting on daily basis. I get dizzy a lot, too."
"Okay well, about your period, when did you get your first one?"
"About two years ago." I respond.
"Okay. It's common that every now and then, your cycle kind of becomes a square and something like getting your period later, or earlier, than usual can occur. But because you are vomiting I'm wondering that you might be pregnant. Are you sexually active?"
"No." I lie.
"Okay well we can take some tests and just confirm that you just got sick and happened to have the square period at the same time." She left.
After a few hours, she came back with the results.
"So the testing confirmed that you are not pregnant and that you had food poisoning."
The nurse says.
"Okay thank you." My mom says and we all carry on.
I don't think I've ever been more relieved. But what if I was pregnant? Ha! I'd probs cry.
We stopped on the way to get some ice cream. When I got home, I ran to Hayes's house and told him about everything.
"Oh my god. We need to be careful next time."
"Next time? Hayes, we will not have sex until I'm sixteen. This was WAY too close and I can't risk anything."
"I'll wear 3 condoms!" He suggests.
"Fine." I roll my eyes.
