(Stanley: 6 months, 26 weeks)

I didn't want to speak to Robert right now. Yes, I know I should have moved on from what he did to me, but I was upset that he did it.   I was more upset about him causing me stress due to Stanley being by himself since Everest returned to service. We've been trying to keep Stanley company while Everest is gone, since we didn't want Stanley to think we don't care about him, which we do, but I had to bite my tongue when it came to Robert being with the group.

He wanted to talk about it, but I wasn't ready to since I didn't want Stanley to get stressed since he was far in his pregnancy now.  I thought Robert would care since Stanley was his brother, but Robert didn't care; he had his eyes on me, which pissed me off the most.

"So, how's everything going with the pregnancy?" I asked, Stanley grunted, getting up from where he was sitting. "Good, Riley's growing at the rate he should be."  He replied, "Thanks again for helping me shop a little for him. Everest and I started before he went back to the army."

Everest and him were already started their baby shopping when Everest was home, but Everest did tell me that he would appreciate it if I, Melody, Marr, and Robert could help with the nursery while he was away. I told him we could.

Marr was able to get the walls painted a nice navy color. Even though Marr could be a smart-ass sometimes, he could do a killer paint job. Melody was there to help put the bassinet together while Stanley and I washed Riley's clothes. Well, my main help was picking stuff up that Stanley dropped since he couldn't bend down to get it.

And where was Robert? Nowhere to be found.

"It's hard being pregnant without your husband." He said, sounding sad.  "I know he'll be coming back to me when he gets home, but it's just lonely here." He wiped his eyes.  "Damn hormones,"   my heart went out to Stanley during all of this.

"Riley and I miss him terribly."  He placed a hand on his bump.  "Is he kicking?" I asked, Stanley nodded, and I placed my hand gently on Stanley's stomach, feeling a faint kick. "He's active," I said, smiling. Stanley smiled back, his eyes glistening.  "Everest and I both said Riley's already a daddy's boy; if he heard Everest speak, he would kick."  Stanley blabbed, "I've been sending him videos of Riley kicking...So, he wouldn't miss a thing." Stanley wiped his eyes.

"I'm sure he'll be an amazing father," I said, giving Stanley's hand a gentle squeeze. "Riley's lucky to have you both." Stanley nodded, his smile softening. "I just can't wait for the day when we're all together again," he said, his voice filled with hope.

"That day will be soon."  Stanley was about to say something, but there was a knock at the door.

"It's open!" Stanley called, and the door opened to Marr. "Hey, is Melody here by any chance?"

"No, she's at home, why?" I asked the question blew me off very much.  "Well, I needed to speak to you about something about her?" I got up from my chair.

"Is the part where I kick your ass to kingdom come?"

"No, I just think that Melody might have a crush on me," Marr confessed, "How she acts around me at times, I think she does have a crush on me."  I did feel a mix of feelings for both Marr and Melody; happiness for Melody, but confusion for Marr.   I shouldn't even be hearing Marr's side.

"Well, do you like Melody?" I asked, and Marr stopped to think for a second. "Yeah, I do actually."

Melody would be happy to hear that. "But I'm nervous to speak to her about it, though." Marr replied, "She is a nice girl, don't get me wrong."

"Just take it slow, that's how Everest and I got together. We took things very slowly."  Stanley chimed in before stuffing his face with a cookie. Hey, I can't blame him, he's eating for two.

"Thanks guys!" Marr walked to the front door. "You wouldn't regret it!" He closed the door behind him, where I couldn't help but laugh.

Only Marr.
