My hands started to tremble while I held the test, feeling about the news; I honestly didn't know how to feel about the news I had just learned. Fawn was on the phone, waiting for me to speak. The words never came out. I was too shocked to even speak until Fawn spoke up, breaking the ice-cold silence that was created between us.

"Stanley? Are you still there?" she asked, worry and anxiety drenched in her voice.

"Y-Yeah, I am." I stuttered out, feeling ill all over again. I needed to sit down, where I sat on the toilet, trying to wrap my head around the topic and how I was going to tell Everest when he got home.

"What am I supposed to tell Everest?" I asked, running my hand across my stomach, knowing mine and Everest's daughter or son were in there.

"I would just tell him," I replied, "He is the dad after all

"I would just tell him," I replied, "He is the dad after all." I could understand how nervous Stanley was, but he and Everest had talked about having a baby for the longest time; I know for a fact that Everest would be happy about Stanley being pregnant since Everest always wanted to be a father and have a family with Stanley. I know deep down that Everest will be happy to hear the news that Stanley is going to share with him.

"I hope everything goes well when I tell him." Stanley sighed. Deep down, I knew Stanley was stressing about this since Everest was leaving next week to go train in the army, which Stanley would be all by himself. But he wouldn't be all by himself; he'd have me, Robert, Melody, and Marr.  We all wouldn't let Stanley go through this pregnancy alone while Everest is out serving our country.

"It will," I informed, i knew his nerves were rattled but I knew he was going to be okay.

"Fawn?"

"Yes?"

"Promise me." I knew he was going to say that. "I promise."

"Thank you." Stanley's voice was drenched in worry.  "And Stanley?"

"Y-yeah?" I stuttered out, feeling sick to my stomach all over again

"Y-yeah?" I stuttered out, feeling sick to my stomach all over again. "Remain calm. You stressing like you're doing is not good for the baby." I nodded at Fawn's words, looking at myself in the mirror.  I found myself slightly running my hand over my stomach, feeling a mixture of anxiety and excitement due to the news I had to break to Everest when he got home today.  The news that will change our lives forever.

"Stanley? Are you still there?" Fawn asked, pulling me out of my thoughts. "Yeah, I'm going to let you go, Fawn." I hung up before she even could say a word. I through my phone on the bed and dashed to the bathroom, finding myself, having my head in the toilet, throwing up.

I guess I gotta get used to this for the next eight months.

I put the keys in the front door, turned them, and opened the door

I put the keys in the front door, turned them, and opened the door.  "Stanley, Sweets, I'm home!" I called, putting my keys on the counter. "Stanley?" I walked into the living room to see Stanley sitting on the couch. "Hey, Are you alright?" I asked, sitting by him, and rubbing his shoulder.  Stanley turned his head to look at me.

"Everest, You know I love you. You know that right?" Stanley asked, his voice trembling.  "Yes, I know you do, Stanley," I replied before Stanley asked me another question. "No matter what I do, you'll still love me?"

"Yes, of course, I will, Stanley." I blabbed, "Why are you asking me such silly-" he cut me off.

"Everest, I'm pregnant." Stanley blurted out, his eyes never left my glaze. "You're what?"

"I'm pregnant, Everest

"I'm pregnant, Everest." I replied, "I took a test today while I was on the phone with Fawn. I've been a nervous wreck about this since you're leaving soon to go serve in the army, this has been a dream of yours and I don't want my pregnancy to get in the way." I wiped my eyes where Everest took my hands.

"You will never be in my way," Everest informed me, he placed a hand on my stomach and cupped my face with his other hand. "Don't ever think that about yourself, sweetheart, and about the pregnancy, thank you for telling me."  He gave me a peck on the lips.

"Thank you for making me a dad." I felt tears burn in my eyes when Everest said that.  I hugged him tightly. "Please, don't go, Please, don't." I sobbed and buried my head into his shoulder. "Don't go."  he hugged me back. "I have to, Stan, I have to," Everest replied. "But I promise I'll call or write to you when I leave next week."  I wipe my eyes. "Promise."

"I promise,"  Everest informed, wiping my tears away. "I love you."  I nodded. "I love- Oh god." I gagged, got up from the couch, and ran to the bathroom to throw up.   "Stanley, do you need help?" Everest asked me.

"No, no, I'm fine." I gasped out, "I have been in and out of the bathroom all day."   I raised my hand. "Just give me a few minutes."

"Would you like some water?" Everest asked me. "A cold washcloth?" I shook my head before I had another episode of throwing up. "I'll get those for you." He touched my back and walked out of the bathroom.

I didn't deserve him.
