I've been having contractions on and off all day. I knew I would have them since I was due in three weeks, but they were a dull pain; it wasn't sharp or anything, but I was more focused on trying to get the rest of Riley's clothes washed and dried. Fawn and Robert are coming over to help me out, which I was surprised by, since Robert was coming. He was distant with me for a little bit, but he's coming back around, which I am so thankful for.
Besides the contractions, Riley's been moving a lot today, which was very uncomfortable since he barely had any room to move now. He's been getting his feet stuck between each of my ribs, which hurt terrible.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on the front door. "Come in!" I called, and the door opened to Fawn and Robert.
"Hey, Stan," Robert said, walking over to the living room to greet me. "Hey, there." I got up from the couch. "How are you feeling?"
"Good, I've been having contractions," I replied, rubbing my bump. "Besides that, I've been feeling good, sore but good." I waddled by Robert to lead Fawn to Riley's nursery, where the clothes that still needed washed and dried were.
"Have you heard from Everest?" Fawn asked while grabbing a basket of clothes. "Yes, he called earlier; he checked up on me to see how I was doing." I started feeling a sharp cramp in my abdomen, but I ignored it.
"Well, that's good." I walked her to the laundry room, where Robert followed us. "He wanted to be here before I gave birth, but he's not."
"You still got us." Robert spoke up. "We'll be here for you." Before I could say anything back, the cramp got worse, causing me to gasp. "Oh, shit," I gasped, holding onto my large bump. Fawn and Robert both looked up at me. "You okay?" Fawn asked.

Stanley started hyperventilating before he said, "I think the baby's coming." Robert went pale, and I didn't know what to say. Stanley was a mess, hyperventilating. "Everest's at work; he's going to miss everything, everything! Riley is staying put!" Stanley gasped.
"I don't think babies work that way," Robert replied, getting up from the chair he was sitting in. "One of you guys has to call Everest." Stanley huffed out. I came to his side. "We will, but first, where's your hospital bag?"

"In my and Everest's room," I said, as the cramps in my sides worsened. Robert ran out of the room to go and grab the bag while Fawn stayed with me. "Fawn, this can't happen right now; Everest isn't here." Riley's birth was supposed to be his and my thing, but I guess Riley had other plans.
"I know but Robert and I are here, and we'll be here for you through it all," Fawn reassured me while taking her phone out of her pocket. "I'm going to call Everest and Melody both to let them know what's going on." I got another contraction, and I grabbed Fawn's hand. "Squeeze as much as you need to, Stan."

I was in the middle of putting my belongings in the back of the taxi. Today was the day I was coming home and staying home for a couple of months to stay with Stanley, which was perfect since Stanley's closer to giving birth. I heard my phone go off.
I quickly grabbed it and read the caller ID. "Fawn." I said, "Wonder what she wants." Then my heart dropped. Stanley. I quickly answered it. "Hello."
"Everest!" Fawn said, "I hate to alarm you, but Stanley's in labor." I felt my heart skip a beat. "What? Is he okay?" All these questions and concerns ran through my head. "Yes, We're taking him to the hospital. Are you coming home, or are you still at the army base?"
"I was coming home; they let me out early to stay home with Stanley until the baby's born." I replied, "It might take a few hours for me to get to the hospital to meet you guys, though."
"I'm right here with him; everything will be okay, Everest." Fawn informed, "Robert's here too; he's grabbing the hospital bag." I was surprised that Fawn mentioned Robert.
He had been distant from Stanley for a while, which made me angry since they all were supposed to help Stanley out when he needed help, since he was pregnant and all.
"But we're heading out of here as soon as we possibly can."
"Thank you, Fawn. I'll make it there as soon as I can." I replied, getting into the taxi, quickly giving the driver the address to the hospital. "Just keep him comfortable."
