Going for a boat ride

Chapter 4

When I got back my mom went inside and I decided to go down to the docks. When I went down there I saw that Conrad was fishing off of one of them. I decided to go to that one and just talk to him.

"Hey" I said as I came onto the dock.

"Oh hey!"

"So um watcha doing?" I know that sounded dumb because obviously he was fishing. I wanted to face-palm myself right there just for saying such a stupid thing.

"Um fishing" he said with a little chuckle. Now I feel really dumb. "Um do you like fishing?"

"I've never fished before"

He whipped around to look at me. That caught his attention. "You've never fished before?!?!"

"Um, no"

"Oh my gosh! Stay here ill be right back."

Um ok that's a little weird. All of a sudden Conrad came back with another fishing pole in his hand.

"Okay you are going to fish with me!" Conrad said determined.

"Um you know, I'm good."

"You have to giant stand the fact of someone never fishing before."

"Okay okay but I don't know how"

"I can teach you"

"Okay"

And he did he thought me how to cast and wait for the fish then reel him in, but no matter how many times he tried to teach me I just couldn't get the hook out of the fishes mouth it was just pretty gross.

"This is fun" I said smiling that I caught another fish. When I pulled it up and saw it was another sunny I got a little disappointed.

I think Conrad saw my disappointment because he asked, "What's wrong?"

"Well nothing just that these fish are so small"

"Oh I see this isn't good enough for you" he said with a smile on his face.

"No that's not what I meant"

"No I know I get it" he sat there thinking for a minute. "Here, come with me" so of course I followed. He lead me to the other dock where he stood in front of a paddle boat.

"Come with me I have this really cool place I want to show you" he said with a grin on his face like he was really excited to take ME out there.

"Um ok, just let me go tell my mom and change"

"Okay"

I ran back up to the camper I was just going to grab my life jacket but I decided to go inside and put my swimsuit on too, then I put my life jacket on.

"Mom, Conrad's going to take me out on the paddle boat for a little bit."

Okay honey remember your life jacket" and with that I left and ran down the hill. Conrad already unhooked the boat and was sitting back casually which looked really hot. When he saw me he got up right away like he was flustered. I don't know why he would be I was just with him. "Ready?" He said looking away from me and back to the boat.

"Yup, let's go"

"Okay" he said while we started getting in the boat. "So there's this place I want to take you there is a lot of fish there"

"Okay" we started putting away and every one and I woke I could see him pursuing peeking glances at me.

"Okay we are here" He said as we stopped in the middle of the lake where the water was a lot darker than the rest of the lake.
