Let's ditch?

Chapter 8

Jenni POV

It was about 9:45pm and was starting to get dark. We were all hanging around the docks, waiting for other people to come join us before we started playing ditch.  There was just the 5 of us but that wasnt enough people.

"Hey guys, we need more people." I said to no one in particular. Nick just nodded.

"Yeah your right, well I could call up some of my friends to come." Conrad said pulling out his phone.

"Yeah okay." I said giving him a little grin.

"Hey" The person on the phone that must have made him embarrassed because he gave a little chuckle and blushed a bit then met my eyes for a millisecond before looking back into space. "Yeah, you guys should come over we are playing a game of ditch and we need more players." After listening to the people on the phone he finally replied. "Okay, cool. See ya in a bit.", and he hung up. He put his phone back in his pocket then looked back up to us.  "They're on their way."

"Cool. " I heard Nick say beside me.  After about 2 minutes of sitting there making small talk a few jetskis pulled up with some boys which looked my age, Conrads age, and one that looked Nicks age. And I was right because when they got off the jetskis and onto land Nick and Conrad went and did there knuckles, guy bumps and all the stuff at the dudes do.

 They finally came back and joined the group where I was standing sort of awkwardly.

"Hey guys this is Mark," he said pointing to the boy who was about my age he had dark brown hair and was a bit taller than I was which wasnt suprising I was only 5'6. He had really green eyes with specks of brown in them.  He was very good looking.  Then he pointed to a boy who was his age, "Steven", He had blonde hair blue eyes. that were dark and looked good on him. He was pretty cute, "and this is Brad." he said pointing to the boy who looked Nicks age. He had black hair but blue eyes, which was super cute. and you could tell he worked out because he definately had muscles.

"...and this is Jenni." He said giving me a little smile. I'm pretty sure every single one of them ran there eyes down my body then back up to meet my eyes then gave me a little grin. Then after that, Mark and Steven started saying things to Conrad like "Not bad," and "I knew it" Conrad was blushing a little bit  as they slapped him on the back.  "Also this is Jake. Jenni's brother, and you know Alex." They all did knuckles to Jake.

"Hi Brad." Alex said giving a little wave acting very cute.

"Hey cutie." he said picking her up and twirling around as she blushed and smiled like she was loving his attention. He finally put her down and she was still blushing.

"Okay well how 'bout we get started. Okay?" Nick said looking at everyone then looking at me and giving a little grin before looking over to Conrad. "So we need to choose teams and need to have captains."

"Right. Okay.  Well how 'bout you and I are captains. That would be the easiest and wouldnt have to go through the whole competition for being captain."

"Yeah, okay so you can choose first". Nick said going and standing by Conrad so they could face all of us.

"Okay I chooooossssse.......Steven."

"AAAHHHh Yeah dude." They did another guy bump as he walked up to the front to stand behind Conrad.

"Okay well, I pick Jake." That was a little surprising. He smiled down at him as he walked up at her and high-fived him.  That was really cute I love when guys are good with kids, even though Jake was 10 but it was still cute.

"Okay well Im going to pick..... Jenni." He said looking over at me and if I wasnt mistaken I think I saw him blush a little and I definetely saw Nick give him a glare. Okay that was a little weird
