The Big Date!!!

Chapter 11

Jenni POV

We finally made it back to the campground and everyone was all hanging out on the picnic table but I didn't want to waste anytime taking to them.  I ran right into the camper and started getitng ready. I wanted to show my mom my dress before I went too. She was up laying in her bed reading a book.

"Hey mom,"I looked at her all giddy, holding the dress behind my back to surprise her. She was still looking at her book but was starting to turn her head towards me, like she was trying to finish a sentence before she looked up at me.

"What's up, honey?" She said grinning up at me.

"Well, I got my outfit for tonight and I wanted to show you!!" I said pretty excited, then I took the dress out from behind my back. I think I squeeled a little bit.

"Ohhhhh Honey that's sooo nice. I like it a lot but honey I like Nick a lot but I don't like that he's a junior. I can trust you right?" She sad and she wasn't grinning anymore.

"Yes mom you can trust me. Nick is very sweet, everything will be fine."

"Okay, have fun." She said and then she was back to reading her book again. I didn't care though because I was going to go and get ready. I got in my room and just stared at the dress. I put it on the hanger and went to take a quick shower. When I went back to my room I put my hair up in a bun so that when I took it out it would be curly. I started doing my makeup I didn't want to get anything on my outfit. I started my makeup put some eye shadow on my lids and then put the mascara on my top eyelashes. I went and got a different mascara that had a scinnier tip for my bottom eyelashes. After, I went and took a makeup remover cloth and got all the excess mascara out from under my bottom eyelashes. I went and put on my dress. My hair was about dry and so I took tlhe bun out. My hair was curly as planned. I looked at the clock and saw that it was almost  seven o'clock.

I was sitting on the floor by the mirror in my room just making little touch ups when I heard a knock on the camper door. I walked out of my room and looked out the window to see who it was. It was Nick!!!!  I opened the door with a huge smile on my face. He smiled up at me with the cutest smile ever, and he had flowers in his hand!!!

"Hi!!" I said.

"Hey. You look really pretty." He said shyly. He was adorable.

"You look pretty cute yourself." I said giggling this was a little awkward. I then looked down at what he was wearing and saw the shirt that I picked out for him. He bought it to wear for tonight. Smooth. "Nice shirt!"

He looked down at his shirt and chuckled a little. "I figured you'd like it. So are you ready to go?" He asked putting his hand out to help me down the stairs. It was a sweet gesture.

"Of course." I said taking his hand and then we were walking towards his truck. "So where are we going" I said looking over at the side of his face. You could tell he was kind of nervous because he didn't want to look me in the eye.

"Um.. I was thinking we could go to Rocky Road first." He said finally looking over at me for a reaction to what he said. I didn't really have a reaction because I didn't know what 'Rocky Road' was.

"Um.. what is Rocky Road?" I said a little guiltily.

"Oh right. Um it's a place with go-carts, mini golf, rock climbing walls, mazes and stuff." He replied looking a little relieved that I just didn't know what it was and so he didn't think I was turning it down

"Oh cool." Rocky road was about 15 minutes away when we finally got there he got out of the car first and came to open my door before I even had the chance. What a gentlemen. "Well this place looks fun." I was rethinking my outfit. If I would have known we were going to a place like this I wouldn't have worn this.
