What to wear???

Chapter 10

Nick's POV

I woke up that morning and went down out to the table and made myself a bowl of cereal. I was just sitting there watching a movie when my mom walks in.

"Hey Nick." She said excitedly.

"Mommmm......?" She was acting weird.

"So a little birdie told me that you have a date tonight!" How the hell did she know that??

"Whatcha talking about mom?" I said denyingly because I don't want her asking me all these questions about my date.

"Ohhh don't try to deny it. I know." She said sitting down in front of me, whick irritated me because I couldn't see the T.V. anymore and was forced to look at my mom.

"Okay first how did you know this? and second I don't want to be quizzed on it. Okay??" I said looking up at her and then down to my cereal.

"I was sitting at the campfire the whole time listening, I'm suprised you didn't see me. And all I want to ask is what your going to do for the date.' She smiled over at me.

"Ok first that's creepy." I said talking about her sitting at the campfire. I got up and walked over to the sink and set my bowl in there. "I was just going to take her to Rocky Road and then take her to that cute diner in town." I said leaning up against the counter. Rocky Road is a place where there's mini golf, go-carts, rock climbing walls, mazes and all kinds of things like that there.

"Awww that's soo cute." She said. "Well, I will see you later." And she walked out of the camper.

Stacy's POV

I woke up that morning and I just had a grin on my face when I remembered what I was going to do tonight and how cute Nick was when he asked me out on the date.

I woke up and started my day like I always did. I went and got my favorite pop-tarts, smore, and popped them in the toaster. I went and turned the T.V. on and put my favorite movie in as well, Parent Trap. I didn't like sitting there eating when I had nothing to look at. I finshed eating and just sat on the couch and watched the movie until it was over. I then got dressed and ready. I walked outside and to my surprise saw everyone sitting there on my picnic table just talking.

My eye first caught onto Nick's who turned to me and smiled. I smiled back at him as well. I looked at everyone else and looked at Conrad he smiled at me too. I, of course, smiled back at him; his smile was so cute. This all happened in a matter of seconds.

"Hey guys, whats up?" I said walking down the steps and moving towards everyone. Alex and Jake weren't listening they were too busy passing a ball back and forth, trying to see how long they could go without dropping it.

"We are just hanging out. Just about to go into town and do a little shopping. Do you want to come?" Conrad said.

"Yeah that sounds fun. Who is all going?" I said asking no one in particular. I needed to go into town because I didn't have an outfit for my date tonight.

"All of us are going. Jake already asked your mom and said you could go." Nick said.

"Okay let's go." They all got up and headed over to Nick's pickup. I sat in the back behind Conrad who was in the passenger seat. and Jake sat beside me; Although, his back was to me most of the time as him and Alex were talking the entire ride. I have a feeling they're dating or something.

We got into town, parked the car and started walking down the side walk going into random stores we thought looked interesting. The boys went into a store that was mostly for guys. It had a lot of car stuff and guns.

Alex and I didn't want to go in there so we went down the street into a cute little shop. It had a lot of everything in it. There were clothes and dolls and, antiques and flowers and cute hair bowes. It was a very girly store and decorated with bright colors. We walked around for a while and I was mostly looking at the clothes or hairclips. I was in the back when I was looking through a rack of clothes and found this very pretty dress. It was a flower patterned lace that was an off white and underneath was a pink silk. It looked old fashioned but that's what's in style now.

"Hey, Alex." I yelled over to her as she was looking at some of the hair clips.

"What's up?" She said coming over and setting down what ever she was looking at.

"What do you think?" I said holding the dress up to me so she could see how it would look on me.

"ooooo that's so pretty. You should get that one." She said smiling over at me.

"You think?" I said turning from her and looking at myself in the mirror. I did like it a lot. I kept looking at it and couldn't think of anything I didn't like about it. "Okay your right I will get it. Are you ready to go?"

"Yup"

"Okay let's go pay for this." We walked up to the register and there was a girl sitting behind it, about 17 I would say, reading a book she looked really into. I felt kind of bad that I had to interupt her. I saw the book she was reading and it was the Hunger Games. I loved that book too, I wouldn't want to be interupted. I almost turned around to find someone else who could help me check out when she looked up and saw us standing there.

"Oh, hi. Sorry, about that I was just so into my book." She said very sweetly. She seemed nice and I'm glad she wasn't mad when we interupted her reading. I thought she was kind of pretty she was about as tall as me maybe a little taller. She had brown hair and bright green eyes; she looked fit and then I saw her keys sitting on the desk and the Lanyard was of basketball.

"Oh don't worry about it I love that book too." I said watching her try and find the tag on the dress.

"So, you've read it?" She said looking up at me for a second before looking down again trying to find the tag.

"Oh yeah. I read it before I went to the movie." I started helping her find the tag and when i found it I started to say something else. "So you must play basketball?" I said gesturing to her keys.

"Oh yeah. I love it. I've been playing for about 3 years." She said while putting the dress in a bag. "Do you play?"

"Oh no, I'm not good at all. I really like the sport but I suck at it." I said laughing a little bit. I wasn't good at basketball. Well I was good at it sometimes. Well, it was more luck than actually being good at it for me.

"Oh, well, maybe we could play a game and I could help you out." She said smiling at me and handing me the bag.

"Yeah that would be fun." I took the bag from her and started walking away. "Well I will see you around.... Marissa" I said looking at her name tag. She looked down at it and chuckled a little.

"Same to you..." She said waiting for me to tell her my name.

"Jenni." I said glancing back at her.

"Okay, see you around too Jenni." and then Alex and I walked out of the store. We met up with the boys again and walked down the street to the ice cream parlor.

"So what flavor does everyone want?" Conrad said They all said different flavors. Jake wanted bubble gum, Alex rainbow, and Nick cookies and cream. " and you?" He said looking at me waiting for an answer.

"Let me guess, rasberry?" He said smirking at me.

"Yeah..." I said giving him a grin, feeling kind of awkward in front of Conrad since he didn't know that we had a little thing the other day when we came in to to get ice cream.

"Well, okay then." Conrad said turning back to the counter still considering what he wanted. I don't know why but for some reason I felt a little bad. After we ordered we all went and sat outside the parlor and ate our ice cream. We were talking but the entire time Conrad wouldn't look at me once. We got ready to leave and the whole ride back to the campground everyone was silent. It was pretty awkward but I didn't care because I was too excited for my date tonight!!!!!
