Excuse any mistakes. Enjoy! :)

Kia ran her hands through August's messy hair and sighed as she watched him groan about his piercing headache  with his head in her lap.

"Mel wouldn't like the way you living, August." She sighed. Kia was very afraid after the words left her lips.

August has not been the same since he's been partying a lot more. He's become almost cold when it comes to the things he says and does to people, especially when topics as sensitive to him as his deceased brother.

Much to her surprise, tears began to trail down August's cheeks instead of him blowing up on her as she expected.

"I know." He sniffled.

Kia silently wiped the tears as they fell. She hates seeing her best friend cry, especially when he's got the brightest smile she's ever seen, the most beautiful, most contagious laugh she's ever heard, and the sexiest cocky smirk that anyone could hope to have.

It's not secret that Kia is very attracted to August. Though she admits he's handsome, she's more so attracted to his strength and his drive.

Sure, he's been drinking a lot, letting the stress get to him sometimes, and letting his anger rule him. Most times, all those bad things, blind people from the good things that aren't highlighted.

August is helping his sister in law raise his three nieces. Providing them with love and money, neither of which he has a great quantity of.

That's why, despite how mean he can be, Kia stays by his side.

"Things will get better." Kia promised.

"How you know?" He sat up and stared into her eyes.

Kia was taken aback by the venerableness and need she saw in his eyes. She feels obligated to give him an answer. Not just any old bullshit answer, a real answer, an answer with meaning.

"Because, you're gonna get your life together and you're gonna be successful. Whether it's with music or just some other fame less job, you're gonna be successful. Once you get successful, you're gonna take care of your family, meet a nice woman who'll challenge you, get married, have children of your own, and live your life like you should. Just don't forget about little ol' me when you start getting that Diddy money, be on the BET Awards, win a Grammy, or something."

August tried to resist it, but a smile spread on his face after hearing Kia's seemingly outlandish answer.

Kia laughed as she stared at August. "I'm serious."

"Nah, you can't be, 'cause if I'm gettin' out of hea', you goin' wit me. Ain't no choice, guh'."

Kia couldn't help but blush at his words. August ran his hand over her red cheeks, staring at the beautiful face of his best friend. He sat back and pulled her onto his lap where she sat in a straddling position, darkening the red color of her cheeks.

He chuckled at the sight. "You turnin' red, baybeh'."

Kia rolled her eyes and turned her head, trying to hide her smile and seem annoyed.

August turned her face to his and slowly leaned in, connecting his full, soft lips with hers. He gently pecked her lips as if they would fall off if he added anymore pressure.

It's just a peck, but to Kia it's everything. She stared into August's brown eyes with her own. He slid her off of his lap and towered over her. He bent over her body and pecked her lips again. Next, he trailed down and pecked her chin. When he reached her neck, he sucked on it a bit, making her moist between her legs.

"August." She whispered as he continued to kiss her all over and strip her of her clothing.

He ignored her and sucked on the top of her breast, playing with her hard nipples.

He trailed down to the hem of her soaked panties, slowly slipping them off. Kia gasped when she felt his skinny finger slide into her wet pearl followed by another.

August froze and stared at a very excited Kia, feeling mighty excited himself.

"I luh' you, Ki." He blurted.

Kia smiled. "I love you too."
